Lag?

Hello, I've recently joined the server and I just seem to have a slight problem. Between the random disconnecting or bugs here and there (which I don't mind and I do understand), I seem to be getting a sort of lag. No, it is not my computer's fault or what people might think to be as "screen lag", it is actual lag, like a delay. I've checked and it certainly is not my internet's problem, which would only make me think it's the server's fault (I'm not blaming anyone at all).

I was wondering where the server is being hosted as that may be part of it cause I live in the East Coast (The U.S) and playing with the lag is quite irritating. Just to clarify, when I say lag, I mean random delays that last up to maybe ten seconds that happen about every 30 seconds and since I don't have any other option, I've just had to deal with it but if there's anything you guys (the staff I'm guessing?) can do on your end, I'd appreciate it a lot. hmm, i play on the west coast of canada and experience no lag unknown by the staff :S

 

Oh I'm sorry if I didn't clarify enough. It is not screen lag. It's more like the second thing you said with the monsters freezing. That's pretty much what it is though, the monsters would walk in place (if they were moving before the lag) and I'd still be able to move around. Any skills I use or attacks don't render until after the lag passes, etc. I'm sorry if that's not a good description. Let me know if you still need anymore information.

 

Here's the log! Is there any way we can simply have a one-one continuous chat in an attempt to resolve the issue more quickly? If not, continuing posting here is fine. Thanks again!



Edit: I followed the instructions and entered 'royals.ms' as the host, I just wanted to make sure that's what you needed.

 

Ah sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to have the game open (and be lagging) while I run the log. Here, I did it again and it ran for at least half an hour, probably closer to an hour but I lagged plenty of times throughout the duration. Let me know what else I can do. I really appreciate the quick responses too.



Edit: Here's another log, I thought this one might be more useful because I seem to have been lagging a ton more within the past while.

 

I actually asked a few others in the game and they didn't seem to be affected by any type of lag. They said that the game was running fine and there was hardly any lag for them. I'm not quite sure why I'm the only one experiencing it though. I guess what I'm wondering now is if there's anything I can do, or you can do on your end to stop the lagging if at all.

 

Just a bump. Does any other admin or staff have any idea about the lag?

 

We have not noticed anything too extreme besides the occasional lag. If you could post your MTR log AS you are experiencing the lag, that would be helpful.

 

I actually posted three of the logs on the first page of the thread, however only the last two (the one in the same post with the edit) are the ones where I lagged. I'm not sure if you need something else as I think those are the logs, but here, I have another log. Let me know what else I can do!

 

my friends and I experience lag spike and sometimes more severe lag.

 

It looks to me as though you have internet problems rather than problems with the server.

 

The thing is I have no lag issue with other servers like Extalia. I would love to play on MapleRoyals, but this lag can keeping me and my friends away. ( whom all experienced lag spike on this server ) thats testimonials from 7 individuals.
