So I just got back from a break and when I tried playing I kept disconnecting from the game. There will be a lag then monsters stops moving then it will lead to disconnection. I tried uninstalling the game then downloading the installer again and installed it again but I still kept on dcing. I have no problem with other online games so the internet is not the issue. Not sure if this could help but this is a screen shot i took before I dced. I hope the admins could help me, thanks! EDIT: the picture above was taken seconds after I logged in then resulted to disconnection again.
does this occur right after you log in, and/or when you cc(like in the post andreas linked to)? or do you randomly disconnect(wether its fm, a town or a map with mobs) then you can log back in and sometimes you might dc again shortly after(10 sec to 1 min after), or you will be able to play lets say... 30 minutes to 1 hour then it starts again?
Yea we have simalar problem with the guy in Andreas link. I tried tweeking my MTU but still dced. I dc usually every 10min, but its getting better. Maybe adjusting the MTU helped a little. Ill update you guys if i still experience dcs.
Hey so I was hoping that disconnections would stop after the maintenance but I am still getting dced. It doesn't really matter if its a map with mobs or if im in town. This is really irritating cuz i cant play properly. I also reinstalled my mapleroyal after the maintenance and updated the files hoping it would help but no luck.
Then you should check if you have a static IP address for your computer. A static IP address is basically that your computer will obtain the same IP at home everytime it connects. It is nice to have when you want to host games or similar, but mapleroyals(or maplestory) does not really like this when a conflict happens between 2 devices on your internet, which makes you dc from mapleroyals, but you wont see any connection issues on other games or when browsing. This is a setting you can manually change on windows and I guess it can be changed in the router settings as well(?) if that is the case, the cause of your disconnections might be because another device on your router connection is having a conflict with your computer as they both might get the same IP(if I remember how it was correctly). So if you have a static IP address you will have to turn this option off in order to get rid of your disconnection issues if this is not the case, then im sorry I couldnt help you more.
So i tried checking the youtube tutorials. Am i supposed to change my static IP address to Dynamic IP address or as you have mentioned it above, turn it off?
Well, if neither you or any of ur friends/family that might have access to your computer have made a static ip for your computer on your computer, then I doubt this is your issue(unless it was changed on the router). but theoretically yes, you need to turn of static ip address to fix the issue. if that doesnt fix the issue you should probably turn it back to static if you had one, as its quite nice to have.
