I hope I'm not the only one dealing with this but my pirate, whom I am making a gunslinger does absolutely NO damage. My AP and skills are correct and I'm using lvl 20 Equips but I still don't do any damage. I hit about 56 average on Green Mushrooms as a level 23 which I don't think is normal.
Might be bugged? I'm not sure but I'm certain this shouldn't happen.

Max and use Somersault Kick with the highest attack weapon you can find for your level. Double Shot is a very weak skill, but shooting gets better in 2nd job when you have access to Invisible Shot.

The gunslinger is a classic late bloomer. You'll struggle a lot in the earlier stages, or maybe even give up. My first character on this server is a gunslinger and it was slow and painful as hell leveling up during 1st and early 2nd job. Thankfully, gunslinger isn't that expensive to fund and i quickly scrolled myself a decent cannon shooter, str overall and dex shoes. Now I'm at lv111 and the fruits of my labor are in sight. The Corsair is a blast to play.

If you're just starting out, vote daily and use the NX to gacha or sell ap resets for money. Invest in a 8~10 att glove, a dex overall and some maple guns first. It'll make the grinding a lot easier. Try training on monsters weaker than what would be recommended at your level. I didnt follow any training guides until 60 when I could hold my own at ghost ship. Training on weaker monsters is generally but i think it works out well for gunslingers as they would end up struggling too much at stronger monsters/more populated maps.

Actually this is kinda a misconception, double shot is not in fact that weak, it just attacks really really really fast so it'll do less damage per hit than other attacks. In reality, it's actually a pretty strong skill, does more dps than power blast or bowman's double shot or double stab. Still weaker than Lucky Seven though of course.

That is true. I may have implied that Double Shot should not be maxed; that's wrong, it definitely should. Training with SSK is usually better in mobby maps, though. At least that's my opinion of 10-30 pirates.

Yup, definitely. Mobbing skills will always be stronger than single target skills for training.
