Hey guys, I was just wondering since I've never actually bought leech before, I wanted to know which leech I should buy to get the most out of my mesos. The thing I don't really understand is that I usually see more people sell Gobies in terms of price/level whereas Wolf Spider leech is the usual price/hour. Say for example the person took their time at Gobies to gain 10 levels from 80~90 so it'll be around ~100m from what I've seen compared to someone selling leech from 80~90 at Wolf Spiders that took their time. Which one would be more worth? I'm just worried that people who sell hourly prices just slack and don't kill as fast as they could be just to make more mesos. Thanks!
WS is more consistent because someone else killing for you, while goby is based on your ability to kill them
Wouldn't most sellers prefer you not to hit them, after all they're mostly there for the overall int 60% drops. Goby leech is cheaper but there are no safe spots on the map, unless you have dark sight you'll be tanking hits for the entire hour.
I have tried selling both variants of leach and I can definitively say that goby leach is far superior to WS at lvls 80-90 in terms of speed and cost effectiveness. You are not getting hit as much as you think you would if the bishop knows what they are doing. I tell my leachers that if they have auto pot they can semi-afk and will be fine. (watch netflix on side do homework) while periodically looking at their screen.
From many hours of experience giving leech at both locations (as well as others), i can say that goby leech is much more efficient (in terms of exp/hr, 1.5x +) than ws as long as you are lv80+ and the leecher 1hits. To address your question about per level vs hour rates, you should be getting at least 3lv per hour at gobies up to lv 90 with any competent leecher and 4lv per hour with a great leecher. It should take you more than 3hrs to leech from 80-90 at ws (at average rates, 120m+). As others mentioned, one caveat at gobies is you should either have reliable autopot or dark sight if you are a thief class. Both option requires you to be at least semi-afk (to periodically check that autopot hasn't failed or to refresh ds).
