I've been playing MR for a few weeks now but I've never been able to play it in windows mode. I've tried alt + enter, or going to the systems menu to tick the windows mode selection box but to no avail. There is a tiny black box on the top right hand corner of the screen with numbers for each time I attempt to change to windows mode. My computer is running on windows 8 and client is set on compatibility windows 98. Would appreciate any help here thanks!
Why do you put compartible mode to win98? If anything you should put it to windows 7 or turn it off completely
That is because any other compatibility will still result in the common error that windows 8 users face. Only windows 98 is able to let me play the game successfully
I have never heard of anyone having that problem before I find it unlikely that you will get any useful replies =/ It must be to do with settings on your computer. Make sure you are the admin user account and try running it as admin? I don't know what else to suggest.
To the main problem I have never seen this issue before, BUT, to get rid of the numbers at the top right all you have to do is do press ALT F12 together. When you do Alt+Enter or change it in the system settings, does just nothing happen? or does the client crash?
Yup nothing happen, only an error sound could be heard and the black box appears client doesn't crash
Hey, I have the same problem as you and found a solution kinda. change your screen resolution to anything lower then 1280 x 720 then start maple royals go into windowed mode then change the resolution back. I suggest you use sandboxie so you can start up multiple clients so if 1 dcs you can go on the other one without having to change resolution again. Hope this helped.
I am currently having the same problem, win7 running as admin @ 1920x1080. Alt + Enter does nothing. When I had this problem 3-4 months ago I remember there being a trick to fix it. Ofc I don't remember said trick tho >.>
