    Hi everyone,

Got bored so I thought I might try out MS again. I played back in 2005 during beta through until 2009 or so..

Just came back for some nostalgia and wondering how I would feel about the game 10 years later lol..

Same on both counts. I played around that time too, and I joined Royals for the same reason (nostalgia and all).

You'll definitely love the server. At least, I know I definitely did. It has the same feel and I've met the most amazing peeps. Welcome and enjoy! :)

    Thanks!!
Quick question if you don't mind.. is there still the concept of HP washing in this version? I remember it being annoying back then having to HP wash to be able to do some bosses as a hermit/NL since we would die in one hit. That was extremely frustrating back then haha

Yes there is. And there's a very extensive guide on it. And it's not cheap RIP.

If you want to boss as a NL then HP washing is highly recommended. Many people make a bishop as their first class as a method to fund their expensive bossing character.

As you're just starting on the server, maybe choosing a class that doesn't require that much work is more suitable for you at this time.

At the end of the day, you should play whatever class makes you happy. Make your sin and have some fun with it, you can always make a new one later if you want to. Best to get a feel for the server and find out if you actually want to play or not first. [:)]

I played MapleSEA since I was a kid at around 10 or 11 years old in late November 2005 and now I'm 21 years old. This game has indeed been a huge part of my childhood as a matter of fact. However, I do still consider myself a novice even until now when it comes to the ability of excelling in game. Of course MapleStory is a very time consuming game in terms of gaining experience to level up any of your chosen character but now to know that there are many people who are willing to spend their free-time for some leisure and relaxing moments of participating in this monster grinding game.

MapleRoyals has been around for a substantial period of time and has a huge player base and fan base i.e (Donor) as well. There is really no real competition in this game but just to probably set target on how much time you are willing to invest on the game training your character or even a little bit of in-game trading, learning how to be a merchant. Another factor is to interact with people all across the globe that managed to download the game and come online to chat and interact with others or just have a jolly good time doing whatever they wish (as long as it does not violate the terms and condition i.e illegal).

The downside of the game that if I should point out is that there are times when you would occasionally disconnect during certain boss fight which have entrance counts. This cause is mainly due to the player did not adjust the graphics a term commonly known as GFX. Other than what is mentioned, the nostalgia can be felt for the most part except that there are of course certain customization done by the founder (Matt A.K.A PrinceReborn from GMS) if I am not wrong to say. I first played Royals when it was still new and not considered a mainstream server too just to add before I end. May the legacy of this game live on through the years!
