Im new to this server and i really want to play it and support it aswell, but i have a problem that wont let me do it. I've downloaded it like said, and when i try to extract the files from winrar to desktop or either to a new file i get this-> ! C:\Users\Roee\Downloads\MapleRoyals.zip: Unexpected end of archive or this -> ! C:\Users\Roee\Downloads\MapleRoyals.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged I've tried downloading it few times but i get this message everytime. I've downloaded the Client too...but it has no use if the setup is not working. I dont know, maybe im doing something wrong?! I saw that 'Nerikkkk'(someone in this server, he open a thread about it) had the same problem but he fixed it by downloading from Chrome browser-i did that too but still,the same problem. I dont know what else i can do, i want to play this server and bring back those memories and supprot you'll aswell. Please help me, i dont know what's my problem, be clear with your explanations if you have some. Thank You!
I would try disabling your antivirus when downloading the setup because it appears that your antivirus is scanning within the archive, resulting in a false positive and deleting the archive.
I just downloaded and successfully extracted the files from our website. Unfortunately, it seems like either the download is not finishing completely or some other program is interfering with the archive and not allowing it to be properly extracted.
I dont know what im doing wrong than... Can you tell me exactly what you are doing, cause maybe im skipping a step and i dont even know,and what do you suggest me to try?
Well I have a Mac so my process is a bit different. But you should go to the MapleRoyals page, click the download link on the top of the page, and then click the Green "Download the MapleStory Setup" button. You then extract the ZIP you download. That's about it.
That's what im doing, i extracted it to program files and then right click on mapleroyals->extract to mapleroyals and then i get the message that the archive is either broken or damaged... maybe a Windows owner GM can help me? Or you have another solution for my problem?
It sounds very much like something is attempting to block your download. Is it possible that you have something like Windows Security Essentials as well as a non-Microsoft firewall/antivirus? Also, which browswer are you using to download the setup? I use Firefox and have not had any problems with it.
Im using the Chrome browser,and i've disabled my antivirus(Panda-right click,disable panda antivirus & firewall) and my windows firewall through the control panel,i dont have windows security essential(i guess its because my windows is not genuine). did i help? and maybe something else you can offer me? ask everything that can be it,just help me!! It was already unticked I'll try downloading it from firefox. And i heard there's a software called 7zip or something like that so i maybe should i try using it? can you tell me how to work with it? ty
using a different software wouldn't change anything.. make sure the size of the archive you downloaded is this large: 2.17 GB (2,333,686,733 bytes) I am also using windows. I downloaded 4 days ago and it worked. That was the size. Make sure yours is the same size or bigger. I am wondering about your internet plan or router/modem. Do you think there are any rules that prohibit download of very large files?? Edit: Whoops 6 days ago... guess he won't be reading this anymore..
