When i try to load the application, it simply bounces once and shuts down - no black screen, no error message, nothing. My files arent old because i havent been on the sever long enough to see file changes. is there a way to fix this? i really like the server a lot and i would like to fix this ASAP because i dont want my friends to worry about me! Thank you.
Yeah! Step by step. The only thing i think i may have gotten wrong maybe is that, in the directory for the new files, there are two sections, and one of them has only 2 files, both of which are in the other one, so i ignored them... Besides that, i find it weird that the files would be the problem. it was working just fine before that, with the same old files, but suddenly it wouldnt start. if it helps at all, too, im pretty sure i remember that when i last closed the app it was all weird and it crashed instead of letting me quit right. i pressed quit in the main game, but didnt take me to the logout screen. ive also restarted my computer several times..
also to note: i downloaded a second copy of it as it was the only solution i could think of and theres not really any real help currently. as opposed to my other one, which only bounces once then shuts down, this one seems to bounce infinitely. its really annoying, but im not sure if that means anything. hopefully it does! edit: it stopped bouncing and froze up. um.
You didn't touch the Wineskin inside did you? You should have only needed to simply download the application, extract it, and then double click the icon.
