Hello! Ever since the patch from last week with the new wz. files and client, I been having an issue with the game when I am in full screen. When full screening, I get alt-tabbed randomly back to my desktop without even pressing alt+tab. This seems like a tiny problem I have having, but it is becoming very annoying. Even when I am in window-mode, it will "alt-tab" into my skype or chrome windows. So, I would have to click on my maple window again. This becomes a problem when I'm talking to someone, training, or bossing because it interrupts my playing. I actually died at skeles because I had my skype window and maple window side by side, but apparently my computer "alt-tab" to my skype window and I did not notice when spamming my potion button lol. I looked up this problem on steam forums and others say that maybe it’s some malware or virus, but I did a full scan on my computer and found nothing. Like I said, never had this problem until that new client. Anyone else having the same issue? If it helps... -I'm using Windows 8 -My maple is running under "Windows 98 compatibility". Helps with not having to get a parameter error when loading the game. Thanks for reading!
The problem here would not be anything to do with the client or wz files. Have you tried rebooting your computer since this started happening? Could it be that one of your keyboard keys have become a bit temperamental?
Hey! Thanks for the reply. I checked my keyboard on my laptop and actually tested by using my USB keyboard instead to see any changes. However, the problem still occurred. I did reboots many times, but after browsing through microsoft forums, many people were having the same issue with their games. I fixed the problem though! I'll leave a solution just in case in the future people run into this problem. The issue was my computer having trouble with "keeping focus", so I did a clean boot! I don't have this issue anymore after I followed these instructions: Steps to perform clean boot: 1) Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. 2) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue. 3) On the General tab, click Selective Startup. 4) Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup Items check box. 5) Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All. 6) Click OK. 7) When you are prompted, click Restart.
