not really a suggestion, but it's been said before that marriage between two female chars might become possible again on a new client, and since the thread of questions about the new source has been closed, i'd like to know if there's any chance of it really coming back? i mean, there already is male/male wedding (from what i heard, not sure it's true), and f/f has proved to be possible since it used to worked before. i'm sure it would definitely mean as much to many people as it does to me since i'm kinda about having to create a male char to represent my girlfriend, lol. i didn't find any other recent threads with a concrete answer to this besides the one i linked so i'm really sorry if this question has been answered before, and thanks for anyone who takes the time answering.
The way the engagement system currently works is that the ring box checks if the character sending the marriage proposal is male or female, but doesn't check if the character receiving the marriage proposal is male or female. Because of this a male character could marry another male character, since all it checks for is if the one who's proposed is male. The reason as for why female marriage proposal worked for a while, was because of a bug that caused female characters to be seen as male in the system. A side effect of this bug was that female characters couldn't purchase any gender specific items in the cash shop, so it was something we had to fix. This means that if we are to change this in the future, we will have to change the way the engagement system works as we can't simply repeat the same bug we had before. I highly doubt this change will be available with the release of the new source, but perhaps is something we can look into in the future.
