You've pretty much answered your question with your first reasoning. It truly isn't a severe problem at all. Players are given the tools to have full control over who they choose to party up with, and the option to remove leechers/toxic players from the party. Just utilize the tools we're given and solve the issue. GMs have loads of other issues that require attention from a few hundred to a few thousand players. Having to deal with PQ leecher reports just adds more unnecessary work.
Dude you're literally complaining about a problem that you could do yourself. You're lazy and trying to add more work into GMs, where they already have enough to deal with. It's a simple 2 clicks anencephaly they're kicked. This^^ thread^^ is^^ stupid^^
There are already so many petty reports. Why add to that? You can solve these issues very very easily.
@Xeatyon Sometimes i like to boss, pq or grind together with people, but sometimes i just cant stand doing stuff with others because i get annoyed over small stuff like someone who i think isnt pulling their weight all the time or having to wait for someone. When i get too annoyed with people i just grind/farm on my own for a while. I think you should do the same if you cant stand people leeching or having to wait for enough people that wont leech.
I don't even get the point of this. You're complaining the GMs are too lazy to implement this 'new rule', when the solution is simply at a single click of your own mouse, which you yourself don't even want to do.
We should start banning players for EXP Leeching off of Arch-Mages and Bishops too. They're obviously too lazy to gain EXP through grinding. Or maybe we can start charging people to leech in Party Quests.
I don't think any of you understood the point of this thread. The point was to make the problem go away by making it bannable so people would not even consider doing it thous making the problem dissaper. KICKING the person from the party is sending the leech to another person party is not solving the problem. I was just saying because it seems to accure at almost every party I form its a bit out of hand.. I was trying to get my point across to the gm but he clearly didn't see it the same way I do because he thinks this is okay to be on his server thas why I stopped commenting. Because you don't understand that this is not gonna add tons of work for the gms, they might need to look at a few reports over some weeks and ban a few people, after that people wouldn't leech because it wouldn't be worth their time thous solving the problem as a whole.
I don't think YOU understand. Many of us have been around in this community for years and we know what will happen. Not only do we see making something like this against the rules pointless, whether you believe it or not, it WILL add work to the large amount of responsibilities staff members have as is. Therefore, we are asking the community to do their part and deal with this issue on their own if/when they come across it while playing.
Clearly if this leeching problem has been here for years like you said and you ask people to deal with it ingame like you suggest and it's still ongoing till today and probabley will go on,your way of dealing with the problem is not efficent nor will be ever resloved. Applying a report system will most likley get rid of the problem you just think it will create too much unneccery work because you don't consider this to be a problem so theres really no reason to continue this conversation hence you can close the thread.
Bro the fact there's people like you around with this twisted type of conviction is kinda damaging... There are people here that understand your point of view but even they know themselves that it simply is not that deep, bruh. The long-term day-one Admin says it will be work, the week long player says it won't be work. Who's more likely to understand what he's talking about? Lol
Im pretty much done talking about this topic if they don't want to do anything about it it's their decision and just because iv'e been playing this specifc server for a week dosen't mean I don't know what im talking about, just seemed like an easy fix. It just seemed a bit ridiclous that theres so many people not giving a shit in each party im in.
It's exactly this statement which shows you lack the perspective of others here who have played a lot more (myself included). In the bigger scheme of things, kicking people from pq is the least of anyone's concern, specially since it is resolvable by yourself.
Just because I played this specifc server for a week dosen't mean im on a computer for a week. Iv'e said what I think they should do they can do whatever they want.
>Leecher gets kicked from Party 1 >Leecher joins Party 2 >Leecher gets kicked from Party 2 >Leecher joins Party 3 >Leecher gets kicked from Party 3 >Word gets out that Leecher does not actively participate in PQs >Leecher can no longer find party >Leecher can either train for EXP or not play at all. >Leecher may never even be able to fit into grinding parties or boss parties if they ever show this attitude. >??? >Why do we have to take this to a higher authority figure when it is clearly within the capacity of the community to resolve issues like this through communication and networking. it's not like this is in the ToS or it would probably affect actual leeching services as well, unless you plan on cutting corners on the "problem" of leeching
i actually dont recall names, but i do remmeber parts of certain conversations i had of " dont add soandso to the party because he doesnt do anything " whenever i was doing LPQ. It happens, just not often.
