What keeps you on mapleroyal ? (Some thoughts and questions shared)

Currently I have no life. But regardless if I finally get one or not, I'll always find my way back to MapleStory and somehow I bet it'll still be Royals (assuming it stays open that long but so far it has). I've been playing maple since I was 10 years old, so it's rather a huge part of my childhood and the only server that has been able to remind me of that childhood is this one right here. Don't get me wrong, even though Nexon screwed up in a big way, I sometimes still play the newer versions of Maple as well. But in all honesty no other server has ever had this kind of community, or at least no server that I've played.

Just the nostalgia. As a kid playing from 2004--2010 until BB I had the time of my life. I had friends to hang with, a great soundtrack, and a world full of bosses and areas I'd never get to explore but always dream about. Royals is the closest thing to that while still having a solid player base.

I could go on, but I'll say that you do really need free time to fully enjoy the game. This game does a great job of providing delayed gratification without it being impossible or too tedious to obtain it (my opinion of course).

 

There should be a 2xlike for a post like this (Synergy was awesome as well first guild I joined up with here in 2013)

Due to some depression and some shit, I generally float around the things of old that gave me joy before shit hit the fan, since for some reason going back to my past when things were easier is all I ever do. That's playing Maple, eating fried chicken and making music. I stop and start but, I don't think I'll ever actually stop any of these things. I've been on maple for about 10 years so far, I've been on music since I was an embryo and I eat chicken from chicken shops like twice a day every day.

There's no need to stop playing Maple so why should I? Hahaha.


P.S. the nonstop chicken will be the death of me lol, but we all die anyway. As long as my death is cool.

 

Helping new players out and try to lead them through the right direction because i remember the struggle and nobody helped me when i started.

- Nostalgic server without all the bullshit new classes (evan, aran, cygnus knight, blah blah)
- No overwhelming stress to make godly items by working our asses off to get vicious hammers, upgrade scrolls, cubes, blah blah
- Almost all PQs are working nicely
- Stable economy with absolutely no P2W
- Stable players base
- Cool and helpful community
- Hard-working and thoughtful GMs and Admins

Wow there are so many reasons to me to love this server. So far Maple Royals is the best private server I have ever played.
