First of all congratulations mapleroyal upgraded to v. 083, for the new version means new discovery and new fun, so I'm thinking, if before in v. 062 players have been permanently banned, reprints rebirth after whether can have a new opportunity? I think for the new version of all the players are all right. Of course, this is only my personal opinion, hope you adopted
I've seen a lot, I mean like 15+pages of ban appeal threads for entertainment (some of them are really funny believe me), and as far as I know, it's impossible for them to have a clean slate, let me try to copy the tone of a GM, "No, players who were previously permanently banned will not have a new "opportunity", because the ban was not for the game, the ban was meant for the person not the game, people who broke the server rules while agreeing to the T&C will be punished, and the consequences are irreversible after our final decision, regardless the upgrades of game content, we no longer welcome those players in our community."
As a non-banned and also no longer a player, a certain amount of time should allow a player to be unbanned. It shouldn't be mentioned as in TOS, etc, as players will think (at initial time of ban), to come back to abuse the very rules they once broke. But, people do mature and if no amount of time means the loss of a player, the server administrator(s) are failing to realize that they may have a lifelong player that will eventually serve to truly help the server thrive (of course because they have matured [which people often will not as well, but it ultimately is individual-specific]). A player should be able to come back because they have realized the potential the server had; if they were banned, they eventually will be banned again.. P.S., MAC compatibility lives are important.......
