    Hi everyone,

I have played mapleroyals for some time now on this laptop. Suddenly it stopped working because of the avira anitvirus that saw mapleroyals.exe as a Trojan.

I uninstalled avira and installed avast. I did the same thing with mapleroyals however when I download now, the mapleroyals.exe file is missing. (I shut down avast when downloading/installing) It is nowhere to be found and I don't know where to go from here.

    Anyone has any suggestions?

    Greets!

Probably caught by your anti-virus. Make your entire mapleroyals folder an exception and then redownload. Or if you can find it in your program you can whitelist it directly (but sometimes it gets legit deleted).

Would probably be better to contact Avast support or switch to an antivirus that is user friendly.

You have to do the following:

1.Deactivate your antivirus first. If you are running Windows 10, Windows Defender will also try to erase your MapleRoyals files.

2.Download the MapleRoyals installer and install MapleRoyals. (uninstall/erase the previous one just in case) Do not just download the .exe file as there may be more missing files.

    3. Add the folder and the process that are related to MapleRoyals as exceptions on your anti-virus/anti-malware.

    4. Activate your anti-virus again.

Yeah I tried this and still failed, I think somehow Avira (not AVAST) antivirus ''stole'' the exe file and I can't dowload it anymore or something although I don't use Avira anymore

I have Avast(not avira) on my other pc and there it works fine. I hope you get what I mean.. is there a possibility to download the .exe file individually??

Sorry for the hard time haha

If the problem is that you cannot dlownload the installer, then it is probably your web browser that is deleting the file. (unless you did not turn off your antivirus before downloading, which i suggest)

I am not sure how it is with other browsers, but google chrome usually doesnt delete posible harmful files instantly but gives you the option to recover it.

As for Google Chrome goes, you can do the following:

    1.Download installer

2.Once it finishes, check the download page (Ctrl + J)

    3. Click the recovery option

It would also be helpful if you could wend some screenshots to get a better idea of your problems :)

As for the individual .exe file, im not sure if it will work but here is the link: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/new-client-27th-jan-2016.51922/

    Hi man!

thanks for the answers you have given me.

I tried to find the recover button with google chrome but I couldn't find it.

I also tried to download mapleroyals with firefox, still no succes because mapleroyals.exe is still missing in the list, files like uninstall.exe is not missing though. Since I got the notification from Avira (which I deleted), it is simple gone from planet earth.

Also tried to find it on the laptop, but nowhere to be found.

The mapleroyals.exe links you send, are not working either
    Starting to feel hopeless :(

What kind of pictures would help??

Can you take a screenshot of how the download tab of Google Chrome looks like when you finish downloading the installer? Is it like a any other completed download, failed download or it has a warning?
Can you also take a pic of your Task manager showing the proccesses?

Also it would help that you attach the images to the forum

So it's a really silly temporary solution but I've started keeping a copy of the .exe in my documents. It's the only file that's removed from the standard MapleRoyals directory so I just have my back up for if-and-when that happens because for me it's only once every like two days. I can't manage to find a way to make an exception through windows defender yet, but until then I'll still have my backup on me all the time.

Well, as far as Windows 10 and Windows Defender issues goes, all you have to do is press Start -> Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Defender and there you will find 'Exclusions' so you can exclude both the folder and the process (just in case) that Windows Defender is detecting as potentially harmful (no need to alarm about this).

Thank you!! I was using windows 8 so I had to do a different path but I managed to exclude the file in Defender.
