Will fame gained (and then lost) from quests during the fame gain bug be reimbursed?

We will not be refunding fame lost/gained, sorry! (This also affects me as a player, so I get it. I should've gained like 10 fame from quests alone the past week. Sucks but at least once fame is working again you can just get friends to fame you)

Wow fix the budddy already instead of fixing useless quests...

 

Please feel free to tell me where in any of that whole update post we specified one "useless quest" that was fixed?
Or even one quest at all?

Skills:

Fixed an issue that would cause Heal to not take the skill caster's equips into account when calculating how much HP it should heal.

Outlaw's Octopus and Corsair's Wrath of the Octopi will properly not remove any already spawned octopi when summoning another octopus.

Misc:

Storages are now functional. There are a few differences to note between how they work in new source compared to how they worked in old source:

~mapowner is now implemented, and will properly track who currently is attacking monsters within a map.

Fixed an issue that prevented modified fame values from being saved to the database.

The server will now ensure that one-of-a-kind items can only be picked up if the item isn't already present within a user's inventory.

Added Black Charm drop to Kyrins Clone.

Fixed an issue where Black Charms were dropping at a 75% chance instead of 100%.

The job advancement animation will no longer appear as the level up animation to nearby users.

Monster droprate has been increased slightly for both items and mesos.

Mesos dropped by monsters will now be affected by the 4x multiplier.

 

I bet you wouldnt say that to the quests in person. They got feelings too

Maybe YOU should start reading instead of jumping to prove people are wrong.
Don't you think that the buddy chat is much more important to the game right now than some lvl 45 quest somewhere in mu lung or showa?

Maybe you can't fix that bug, but Karven can, so why keep us waiting more than 20 days for such an important feature?
To be honest, right now i'm not playing Royals because the buddy list isn't working, and because we cant boss or train (only one channel...), the buddy list is required to keep the game socially "alive".

 

can you fix power guard and power stance? like wtf?

 

It's not listed above, but aparently the issue with freezing skills not freezing monsters was solved somehow.

The answer to your question is very simple and has been presented to you before, so I don't really understand the stance you're taking here.
A feature like buddy list is something that only Karven can code, and thus Matt and Andreas can not.
A quest is something Andreas and Matt can easily script, and even I can if they would want me to.
With that said, the quest fixes we've made do not hinder the progress Karven is making on the main features you want to see, since they are being dealt with by Staff members who can not code the main features.
So is there any problem with us fixing quests? No, there really isn't.

 

Based on your two whole posts, i cant believe having a working BL is a problem for you.

 

Just curious, when will the next update be held?

Again, people need to take into consideration this major factor.

If they implement registration and character creation before most of the main functions are
fixed up, new players will enter and notice these things, deciding to leave. Yes, it's their choice
if they decide to leave, but it reduces the likelihood of Royals being given a bad name by people
who haven't even played the server yet.

That being said, the people that have already been playing and just don't have the patience..
Well, not a whole lot you can do about that. The staff are doing what they can (just as others said,
they have their daily lives to follow as well) and they've already worked their hardest to
implement as many main functions as they can. One step at a time guys.

Good things come to those who wait, and in the end, the wait is well worth it.

Guys, this is our chance to quit Maplestory for good!

This has no malicious intent but I've been playing Royals a lot when I first joined a month ago-ish. But now, as the server is not really in a playable state, I've really began to do other stuff and on the brink of quitting . So it's just a heads up to others if they are thinking of quitting; nows the chance.

 

With the implementation of storage now, have our 97 - 100th item been given back to us now? If so, where can we find our items? I didn't see anything in storage. If not, when can we expect those to get back to us?

Those items have been moved to Fredrick to be picked up. They will be available when Fredrick is implemented into the server. Obviously, I can't drill down and give you an exact date as to when that would occur.
