Hi all, I am quite new to Mapleroyals.. Well you could say that but I did have it on my old macbook before it died. But anyway, I used to play Maplestory in around 2004-2006 and really enjoyed it. I now have built my own PC and want to play Mapleroyals again. I had forgotten my user name and password for the original Mapleroyals account that I was using around about a year ago on my mac so I decided to create another one. My first question is; Is the user name for when logging into Mapleroyals this one that I use on the forum? And my second question is; How do I run Mapleroyals on Windows 10, because I seem to be having an awful amount of trouble installing it. I installed it a few days ago and my antivirus software said that it contained a Trojan.horse in the files, and on top of that it appeared to have deleted the mapleroyals.exe to play the game. So if anyone could lend me some help to both these things it would be greatly appreciated. PS: I notice that you can't seem to register a new account on mapleroyals anymore? whats up with that?
First question: nope, not necessarily. Second question: just make sure you have all the files installed with the previously downloaded setup in one folder. Antiviruses don't like mapleroyals client and will delete it when downloaded. Just disable your antivirus temporarily and make an exception for mapleroyals file and you're good to go. As for the registration / character creation... The server has just been through a massive update (new source) and is buggy as hell, and the staff are working at the moment to fix major bugs, and so you can't create new accounts and characters for now, hopefully not too long. You should try getting access to your old account to play the game. P.S you can manually download the client alone in the downloads page
