I say the voting system is flawed. The mapleroyals website should not block you from voting if you already have done so recently. The voting sites have enough security already.

Because the security on the website blocks accounts from voting often, I propose that instead of blocking the whole account you block IPs. Let me explain.

When 1 IP votes using a particular account. No other IP can attempt to vote for that particular account during the 12 or 24h period. But the same IP can continue to attempt to vote for that account as many times as it wants.

This way, if that IP already voted, it will get blocked by the voting website's security.

But this will require your web site to receive notice from gtop & UPS when a vote is successful. (LucidMS had this (you could attempt to vote unlimited times, but the voting website would stop you if you voted already, not their website.) (Or I am going nuts and this is false again like most of my posts were earlier today. Early apology.) )

The reason for my proposition is because if mapleroyals and the voting website are out of sync, and for any reason the vote fails, the player will not be given nx for free, and voting will not fail if this new system is applied.

(My voting failed, GTOP says I cant vote for 21 more hours? what?? I voted 10 hours ago. should be 14 hours if they reset back to 24 hrs? now mapleroyals is making me wait 24 hours instead of 21. see what I mean?)

    - Mapleroyals currently blocks both account and IP, which is good if you vote on different computers and don't want to risk a ban.

    - The two sites shouldn't be out of sync unless there are some weird errors on either site. It's likely that gtop may be having some teething issues with the new 12hour rule. If you still want to vote for royals at other times you can do it directly from the gtop site anyway.

    - Pingback voting would be better, but it's not yet implemented. There is still no reason to change the timeblock on the main site though.
