This was originally supposed to be a promotional video I made for my guild, Fugitives. In the making, our leader was compromised. The reason for his ban still bewilders me (http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=7765), but I digress; the upset took the wind from our sails. The guild is no more. I figured I'd post this somewhere, since it was for Royals. R.I.P Brian. T_T T_T R.I.P Fugitives, you guys were dope. Pce guys.
I assume it's so people can't "pull a Tiger" (AKA having two people play one account and take it in turns leveling so the character is never not leveling. He was the top GMS player for years). Aside from that, I can't imagine any reason why there is a no account sharing policy. It's funny really, because in all versions of Maple, account sharing was never enforced. I don't think I ever heard of a single person ever actually being banned for account sharing. Oddly though, it's taken incredibly seriously here to the point where I think it is excessive. No other private server I've played has had (let alone enforced) a rule such as this and most have the mentality that if you're stupid enough to share your info with someone you can't trust 100%, then you deserve what happens to you.
I'm looking at gucciswags ban thread and that is kind of ridiculous.. A permanent ban for registering an account for a friend with literally nothing on the account. Let's be rea herel, who actually reads through the terms and regulations upon signing up? none, I doubt any of the game masters here read the ToS until the administration told them to in order to become a gm. I wasn't here for too long, but I have read through his forum posts and he was kind and helpful. Did he quit after being banned?
Everything goes better after you read the terms and conditions. Locking this thread now. And leaving this here:
