This has been suggested already in the "open beta forms". We are now in new source so I felt it appropriate to remake the thread in the feedback section. To make paladin a truly viable class we need dual charge. By this I mean lightning charge can now stack with any other element. Lightning Charge : Sword / BW - Can now use in conjunction with other charges With lighting being able to stack with other charges paladin would be a legit damage dealer in boss runs, and make the warrior tree path balanced. From what I have heard it isn't possible/is very difficult to implement this change using the v83 client. Could be wrong but I'm going to go ahead and assume that this change will never happen. Unfortunately paladins will most likely be a meme class for the rest of royals' lifespan.
The skills are called Thunder Charge: Sword and Lightning Charge: BW. I lean towards agreeing, but to me it feels a bit arbitrary why specifically this element can be stacked with other elements.
Maybe because it's the least useful element out of them. Ice/Fire wouldn't make sense to stack with each other as well (since they are pretty much opposites) and holy might be a bit too strong (since it was buffed in the update to like 150% or 160% too)
...actually Paladins lost out not only the Lightning/Thunder charge stacking, but their Holy's 140% to 150% buff AND Fire charge's 120% to 140% buff. Only Ice, Threaten (which is still glitched... *cough-cough*, and Heaven's Hammer were updated like they were suppose to be. I understand their reason to not give paladin their Stacking charge effect with Lightning/thunder, but the rest was a total troll... I like the fact they are trying to make the game exactly like it's meant to be (like the removal of the FM button,) but if I recall, not giving the paladin the buffs it was meant to have contradicts their actions entirely.
I'm quite confused as to this statement, can you please clarify? As far as I'm aware we've updated to a v72 skill table and added a few handpicked v86 skill updates, rather than us having updated to a v86 skill table but having reverted some skills to v72. The way you've formulated, you make it sound like v86 was the base skill table when it wasn't, so how were paladins meant to have these buffs? I understand that paladins aren't in a great position, I truly do, but I don't understand what you're trying to get at here. All that was done at the time was the Staff having handpicked a few skills that should be used from v86 as opposed to v72, and left the other potential updates be for the time being. Future buffs or balances can be considered, but in no means are paladins entitled to receive a buff.
Once you guys are done discussing your paladin matters (hope it all goes well). Lets get my energy charge to stack with weapon att pots like GMS! @Dimitri Spoiler: New Souce Goals
The link is for a KMST update, does anyone know what GMS client update this came with? I have a feeling it's probably not possible to implement if it is a higher versioned client due to probable restrictions. Edit: Also @Browertime do you have any more information about Threaten apart from what you posted in your thread here? https://royals.ms/forum/threads/n-source-skill-testing-paladins-threaten-skill.87882/. If so please let us know.
this came to GMS in v86 I believe. I hope it is not hard to implement! https://msupdate.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/gms-v86-notes/
Why don't we look at the changes Nexon made in higher version of them game, at least they did something right for the first time by making Paladin become more Unique not just a damage machine like hero: _ Increase individual charges (lighting charge can't be use along with other charges) this made the Element weakness become more noticeable and more effective. _ Remove Guardian from Hero 4th job skill, this will make Paladin more unique rather than a weaker version of hero. _ Increase the range of Adv.Charge , Blast to make Paladin more useful (Zakum top Right arm said Hello) _ HEAVILY INCREASE the Defense bonus from Shield Mastery like 400% so Paladin can actually be called a tank class and maybe remove this skill for Hero as well because I don't see any Hero using 1 hand sword and shield that much.
Perhaps I should have done my research a bit more before commenting... i had NO idea the update was primarily based after v.72. This whole time I was figuring it was v.86 which inspired my previous comment. If that's the case... Why are we all complaining now? Honestly I'm quite satisfied as is (except with Fire charge's relevance, but that cannot be helped). I'm sorry if that upset you Dimitri and thanks for clearing that up with me.
