Just wanted to suggest that GM events be held again if it is reasonably possible. It would be a cool incentive for players to play from time to time and it'll probably strengthen the community in one way or another
lets be real gms dont care about the no life members like me and you who will be here no matter what, they are more focused on new people. Sadly i disagree with this priority but i really doubt they want to make the old members richer or stronger
Not only is that not true, I can't even think where you would get that idea from, especially in relation to GM Events which are offered to the entire community no matter who you are or how long you have been with the server.
i see where you got confused. by old and no life members i mean all the members currently playing now. Since registration has been down for more then 2 months by old players i mean the community now. I see all the progress as a goal to increase player numbers and get new people to play and very little incentive or things for old members who have been here for 2 months enduring and accepting.
I'm sure we could host a few GM events if time allows and there's enough interest. I agree it's a good way to engage the community whilst we're working on bringing the game back to normal functionality. Proper event functionality will most likely not be around for a while so events such as Russian Roulette are pretty much off the table. Looking for suggestions on fun events and/or suitable prices.
Perhaps the team could host events that don't require additional commands ontop of what is already the basic - hide, notice etc. How about Hide and Seek, Scavenger Hunting, Match Cards / Omok?
GM Events aren't out of the question, I just think they have other more pressing matters to deal with atm. Maybe in the future, it may be considered.
No doubt that there are more pressing matters, what I meant by "reasonably possible" is if it was a quick fix or add on that doesn't delay the main features significantly
I don't know which part exactly, but I know the possibility of GM events are built into the default MapleStory code. So once the game is properly functional with commands working, I would assume then would be the time to ask. At the moment, it is just that some commands aren't working.
I wouldn't mind hosting a GM event later tonight as a token of my return. It'll most likely be between 11:00pm - 11:30pm GMT+1. Would need you all to behave as we don't have many commands to make it so
