I can't get the game to work on my VM. I've tried every resolution available, every compatibility setting. I don't have an antivirus system and my firewall is disabled. Guest additions are downloaded and installed correctly on the VM. It's still not working and I'm out of ideas. I'm open for teamviewer if anyone wants to try stuff out. Any help? I was trying to help you in the shout box and I gave you a few threads as reference. Try checking out this thread, someone with your exact problem came to shout box and I referred this to him and it worked for him. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/error-code-2147467259-found-the-solution.90274/
I can assure you, every person I have met that had this problem, it was because of something having to do with your monitor settings. Reinstalling or redownliding and disabling antivirus won't change anything.
As I told you before (and you can see it in my specs) my monitor is set at 60 Hz. I have tried the listed solutions but none have been working for me.
I don't know then, I'm sorry I did see you were at 60Hz monitor but the thread I linked had a few extra steps that might have fixed it. Hope you find a solution.
I'm not completely sure how it works with VM, but have you tried updating the graphics driver or directx?
I think he did, I was trying to help him in shouting earlier and I told him to update drivers, change resolution, change monitor Hz, and referred him to all the threads where people had this problem and fixed it. However, still doesn't work for him.
for all I know it could simply be the "graphics card" as it seems pretty bad considering its memory is 128 mb. Have you tried to simply reinstall mapleroyals? else you could try Control panel > display > settings - advanced > troubleshoot and make sure hardware acceleration is at max
Have you tried running the Setup.exe from inside the MapleRoyals folder? And have you tried setting your resolution higher than 800x600?
Using setup.exe identifies a setting but then gives me an unknown error and shuts down. I can't change the resolution to any higher than 800x600 for some reason...
I followed this guide: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E36500_01/E36502/html/qs-guest-additions.html and did it exactly as so
Should I follow this one? https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html#guestadd-video 4.2.2.1 Installation mentions safe mode etc. I'll do it when I get back later today if you reckon that might solve it
