It is essential to recognize the fact that the community is what makes this game fun. This Hall of Fame idea will only encourage people to grind more and I'd rather not have a community so focused on leveling up to 200.
That makes no sense ^. The entire game is about the end game. That's what Maplestory is - a grind. A grind to get to 200 and get your gear as good as you can. A hall of fame wouldn't change the community at all. People don't need a Hall of Fame to reach 200. Just like we don't need the rankings to focus on 200 either. Getting to the end level is an accomplishment, something that takes time and a lot of effort. A lot of time. Most people still interact with each other in the community on the grind to 200. It would make no difference. I like the idea of the top 5 or top 10, and then cycling through another few after that, changing once a week or so. No clue how feasible it is coding wise but it's a unique idea that preserves the recognition of the first few to get to 200, and then allows other people who have worked their way up to be seen as well.
Imo the idea of having the first few of each class have permanent statues, while having a few randoms would be a good idea for the smaller, job specific lv200 rooms next to each 1st job instructor. For the bigger map shown in OPs screenshot, i think it would better to just display all the lv200s in the correct chronological order. The map is pretty big and can fit many players, and if one map gets filled up, then a 2nd floor map could get added. Spoiler Im biased here because i love ereve, but please leave this map in ereve and let players access ereve @_@
