I'm literally only playing Royals for this event just so that I can get Danny his Blue Maple Bandana back, nothing more. You'd be saving me a lot of free time by just giving it back to him, but, as stated above me, you're an asshole and won't. As for my explanation, I offer you evidence in the form of memes created by former guildmates/friends of yours over the past few months: None of us would have gone through the trouble of making these if it simply was not true. You did it, Jerry. You got your best-in-slot head armor illegitimately, you reached Rank 1 Islander because you made the previous Rank 1 Islander quit, and you single-handedly alienated yourself from an entire playerbase. All of those hours drained into this game so that you can wallow in your own self-loathing and greed, by yourself. Throughout that entire process, you forgot what it truly means to be an Islander. I'd explain it to you, but it'd fall on deaf, "maximizing efficiency" ears. Love, Your old bestie, Tom
I refuse to stoop down to a blatant liar's level. Correct my grammar all you want, Jerry, but I've said what I wanted to say. If you feel the need to type 12 more paragraphs, knock yourself out. This will be my last response on the topic. No one cares anymore. (P.S. You're just as obnoxious in your typing here as in-game. Work on that.)
I guess if we're all still in the middle of this drama, perhaps it's time for me to share my opinions on it as I was present at the time of the incident. Though I was physically present, I do remember having a huge headache that day and thus not having paid the outmost attention to what was going on in real time, and thus I might've missed quite some details here and there. Either way, I'll split my post into 2 parts: @Sawngo I consider you a friend and though I'm not one to choose sides in virtual pixel item drama, I do recall having asked you at the time why you had chosen to continue the drama by not returning Danny the dana. I suppose you had your reasons to and since there was no real trade agreement, it could not be labeled as a scammed trade. Thus on a legal level I would have to agree you indeed had the right to keep the item received via trade, however from a moral perspective I kind of disagree. I'm against hurting people's feelings if I can help it, and if I notice I've traded an item with a friend but it turns out he's more emotionally attached to it than he originally thought, I'd personally rather not be a D about it. In my opinion life is about giving and taking, where if I don't give an equal amount, I don't believe I deserve to take either. You've traded a friendship away for an item, and I don't know if that is really worth unless you never valued the friendship. Either way, you have your beliefs and I have mine, and though I do respect everyone's opinions and choices, I did want to share my own on this matter. @Danny I'm going to be honest with you. The day this happened, I remember you begged me for help and I'm sorry I was not able to be of any kind of assistance. As mentioned that day as well as in this post, I was very mentally absent for most of the incident and only read up once per 10-15 minutes. Since legally there was no trade agreement there was nothing I could've done for you there from a GM perspective, and thus all I was able to do was the same as you could, and that was to ask why he would not return it. Obviously that did not get it done, and thus as hard as it was for me, I had to accept that there was nothing more I could do for your lost bandana. I hope you understand that if I could've resolved the drama at the time, I would've. Honestly would've. My conclusion is that, it saddens me a tad to see that this drama still exists as I hoped it would've passed by now. A part of me says that a virtual item has no real value and can easily be replaced by another one, but I also damn well know that people can get emotionally attached to virtual items and that for them it's hard to let go if a situation such as this one has occured. Will this drama have a happy ending? I highly doubt it to be honest, and I think the most I can hope for is to see people move on from it and leave it be in the past. As for the bandana, if Danny still wants one, I don't mind assisting in grinding candles when I have time. (If candles are still needed by the time I'm available to play)
Thank you for offering to grind candles! I've got a pile of 270 so far, @Noll and I will be able to take care of it.
Couple days ago I attempted the event JQ...needless to say I got DCed twice during the 2nd part and gave up
