Just wanted to know what the current priorities are in terms of fixes. I think it would be helpful to know what we need to see before we can expect to see certain other things. I understand that the priority list is subject to change, but I believe a general idea would still be of great help. Not looking to discuss anything in this thread, so if anyone has any opinions about this please address them in a separate thread Thank you
The recent 3 day rollbacks, and the rollbacks caused by release of character/account creation, as well as the d/c issue that isn't 100% resolved yet (but we've seen very significant improvements, don't we?) After that, hopefully we'll be looking into things like Merchants (Kevin has expressed interest to take on this content as the next big thing to do) and stuffs that are easy to implement along like TP Rocks. He has also expressed interest in releasing CPQ. Hopefully we'll see them soon.
In regards to the cwkpq I would like to know if the stats of the MON are gonna be the same as GMS or if they will be nerfed. Has the staff discussed about this? Thanks
Id assume they'd have to be nerfed or else HTP's would be rendered useless. Would have to balance them in a way to make both pendants viable.
Cool thx for the info. Is HT anywhere close in that list? if not has there been any talk about temporary alternative ways to obtain HT mastery books?
There has been some talk about HT, but we aren't comfortable with releasing it until dc issue is further resolved.
So what Im getting so far is that the list is: #1 DC issue #2 Merchants #3 Cash Shop items #4 Cpq? Assuming the DC issue is fixed since that seems to be the # 1 priority anyways, where does HT fit into the list? what about skill fixes? Is Cpq a higher priority than HT? sorry for the many questions but just trying to get a clear picture here since HT and skill fixes are really big things but I cant gauge where they fall in the list so far
Also, if HT isnt going to be fixed soon, another method should be implemented to put HT books back into circulation
Okay for mages... sure, but they arent the only class in the game. You can't expect to have a 10atk 10all stats pendant in the game and still expect people to use HTP's.
As you said yourself, the priority list changes frequently. It also isnt linear. It's not as simple as DC fix > Merchants > CPQ. It's more so like Work done on DC & Tele rocks & Some PQ progress & Other bug fixes & skill fixes -> Merchants & More bug fixes etc. Don't forget that skills need to be working before HT is working too.
Yea I understand its not linear, but aside from the tiny stuff like being respawned at the correct part of a certain map or a certain monster making the correct death cry there must be some list of priority regarding the big aspects of the game. As far as I know the big issues that are left are: DC, Merchants, Cash Shop items, HT, Skills, and PQ's I might be missing something from the above list but I'm basically looking for an answer as to how these big issues are prioritized or if they are even talked about at all currently. I understand some of these may come in parts such as skills and maybe a cash shop item here, but there must still be some general idea of what is most urgent and what can come later. Btw what are the broken skills aside from hero's will(if it's even broken) that is necessary for HT that isn't for zakum/krex? ive never done HT so im not familiar
It's pretty hard to say what's a priority out of the major things because they are all equally important. Kevin may work on one thing, and then switch focus to something else midway through so as to not get burnt out. If we said Merchants were priority, but Skills got fixed before that, then it wouldn't make sense to have not said skills were priority. So, in no particular order, things that are high priority: Merchants, Skills, DC issues, GM tools/functionality, remaining CS items, remaining PQs, HT... Basically things that you already knew, to be fair. As for what skills are left: Echo Beholder (and thus hex/aura of beholder) Invincible, Bless, Resurrection Meso Explosion Stun for every skill except Paladin's charged blow Heaven's Hammer ...and I might even be missing some. Those are just essential skills, doesnt even take into account that nonessential ones like Ninja Ambush don't work too. Or Seal.
I see, if Kevin often switches focus like that midway through I can see why a priority list would be difficult to manage, alrighty thx for the info
