Upgrade of MapleRoyal to Fit MapleStory? Maybe?

As the title says. Now, OBVIOUSLY I'm going to get a lot of fire and missile from saying the title. Cause its exactly why its a private server. To take away the shit that isn't good. So... I do know what I'm talking about, so please just read before Shutting me down. I Love MapleRoyal (MR) simply cause none of those new class/function/map bullshit is around. In fact, I think MR has done a damn pretty neat job in preserving what's Maple. The community, and the small grind. But none the less, I feel opinions is what created new content. So I have the following to propose.

I propose:
Bring in full version of MapleStory with the reasons/exceptions:
1) No other class except Explorers (Cause we all love maple THIS WAY). Strictly no other classes.
2) No/Not too many maps that's out of the ordinary maple world. I like the map the way it is now. So just leave it. But some people likes other regions.
3) No/Not too many extra functions. I like guild skill. But no family/potential those kind of bullshit.
4) Skills of all classes and 5th Job! Of course theres still grinding. But still not as bad as like 2005/2006
5) Maple island access again! YAY
6) Windowed mode can be increased, giving better gameplay experience.
7) World map can also be improved to show monsters of different levels.


So whadda think? Of course there's reasons why it wasn't already done. But I don't know the reasons. I'm looking forward to see replies!

Why would it? Just explorers with updated skills and GUI

 

Version .62 maplestory or .82 maplestory, whichever we are in right now are vastly different from what maplestory is now. For pretty much everyone this would the destroy the whole point of playing mapleroyals and they'd just move on to other .62 private servers instead.

On a side note, acces to maple island for everyone would destroy islanding completely.

 

This would be quite a massive change. Here's an example of just one class:

Of course I believe that the GM and the team would balance it accordingly to make a nice game. Instead of the stupidness they have at original maple.

Ty for this thought. Then leave it off limits. I still believe MR can be patched to and balanced to current maple without all the excess stuff.

 

Given the time and effort spent on new source, I don't think this is a viable suggestion.

No thanks, that would completely ruin the whole point of a v62/v83 server. If you want updated content go to a different server.

Maybe the 2nd server on GTop will be suitable for you if you want a server like that...

 

The only upgrades I'd want are increased resolution and at some point 5th jobs (the kind that will fit our version, ofc. Nothing like the ones in global) but those will only be possible if and when we have a finished custom client and by then it's something that will have to be discussed first.

I have had a couple of irl friends who quitted because they simply couldnt stand the super small window mode, lower resolution maplestory... I am okay for it thought. Dreaaaaam

That guy chose one of the ugliest crit skins ive ever seen from current maple.

 

Current GMS don't fit into RMS. GMS needs those skills because you have difficult bosses like Lucid and Damien/Lotus. Royals does not have these difficult boss and therefore has no need for the damage. Heck hard lucid's final death sequence is a massive dps race where you have to do Billions of damage in 30 seconds or she heal back to full. I understand though gms's flashy skills (you can disable number spam btw) is really cool. There are secondary explorers I would like to see added to the roster, such as Dual Blades, Canonneers up to 4th job. Those you who think gms is about number spam should try gms after lachleyn though. You will cry from damage reduction. XD
