I'm a level 48 assassin and I heard about HP washing in order to survive certain bosses. I am fairly new to this and still slightly confused. I read that you need to start putting in AP into INT early on, but I am already 48. What should I do? I would appreciate any help.
Hey there. I'd like to reiterate to you that HP washing is not a necessity. In fact its technically a glitch and it was never intended to be apart of the game mechanics. You can survive the current bosses and complete runs successfully without having to HP wash. People HP wash for convenience more than anything. That being said I'll help you understand the process a bit more if that is what you wish. Here are the current damages dealt by bosses in Royals. Monster Magic Damage Touch Damage Crimson Balrog 2.5k 4.5k Ergoth 3.9k 3k Zakum 2.9k 11k Pianus 5k 5.2k Papulatus 6k 5.2k Bigfoot 12k Anego 19k 12k Horntail 7.8k 23k Pink Bean 19k 23k Numbers were taken from this guide https://royals.ms/forum/threads/fully-revised-hp-washing-guide.8286/ Now most people want 7.9k by Lvl 155 inorder to be able to Horntail and survive without hyperbody. That's a fairly common goal. Lvl 48 isn't too late to start HP washing if you want but you'll have to calculate exactly how much INT you need in-order to hit that benchmark. We can go through it together if you still decide you want to wash.
I never knew it was a glitch. That's quite interesting. I think I want to wash in order to not get one shot when I do bosses. 7.9k by Lvl 155 is most likely the goal I want to work towards. I noticed that Pink Bean does quite a lot of damage. Is it possible to survive that? I would really appreciate it if you could help me. I also included a screenshot of my stats in case you need it.
If you didn't already invest too much time and really want to HP wash, I would suggest you restart and add base INT from level 1 and on. This usually requires that you have another character or someone that can leech you though because you'll be weak. It would also cost a lot to do the washing itself, which is why people tend to start with creating an I/L mage or bishop as their first character as those do not need to HP wash. That way you can accumulate some wealth (gach at lvl 50 and farm monsters etc.) and then make an attacker later on. But it will take time, and you may just want to say screw it and play the class you want right away. Read some of the HP washing guides if you want to learn more. But like Dawg said, it isn't a necessity by any means. Though you will definitely be wanted more for boss runs if you've HP washed. Depends on your goals really and how you want to play the game.
I was afraid that I would need to restart. I would prefer not to though if I could, that's why I wanted to ask to see if there is a way I could do this without having to create a new character.
Elyss, in your thread you said you had 100 base INT and INT gear. So if I start putting my AP into INT I could have 100 INT by level 68. Would that enough in order to achieve that much HP? Or is there a different way in which I should be putting in my AP stats? If so, in what stats should I be putting in points every time I level up?
You need to have at least a total of 200 INT as soon as possible. Total INT = base INT + EQ INT + MW buff.
