I get this message (the one in the center) when I try to launch the game... which my anti-virus program proceeds to quarantine afterwards as if there is something wrong with it. This started happening yesterday or the day before that one, memory is a bit fuzzy on that. I re-downloaded the game one of the two days and did so today with the same thing happening.
Wait I just read the part where your antivirus is quarantining a file. Go to McAfee and add the file as an exception
Well I went and did that, and this time on the admin's side i tried to launch the game and I just get this.
Alright... so I changed some things and the game just works fine now. Odd. Changed to running as administrator (which I was doing already >_>), and now running in windows 7 compatibility mode. Suddenly makes it all work just fine.
