Hi, I'm facing an issue with my laptop that is each time I extract the Zipped file of MapleRoyals, the exe gets deleted instantly just a second right after it is extracted. I have tried using various anti-virus but the result is still the same. It doesn't seem to be quarantined or removed by my Windows Defender. The funny thing is, it works perfectly fine on my Desktop which has an OS of Windows Vista; my laptop is Windows 7 by the way. I can't quite find out what is causing the instant deletion of the exe file when it is extracted. I would appreciate some help and would look forward to a quick response soon =D

It didn't work. I downloaded the .rar client and extract it but it got deleted instantly. When I just open it from the .rar client, a WinRAR diagnostic message popped up saying "Cannot execute "C:\Users\13004072\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$EXa0.449\MapleRoyals.exe". It also have another pop up which says "MapleRoyals.exe will be compressed only after closing the application using it. Modifications will be lost if you close WinRAR before that." What should I do? o_O ~f4

do you have some form of antivirus on your computer, i had the same problem? ik it sounds shady, but mine was always detecting some virus and I assumed it was screening the .exe as i was extracting it. so i disabled it while i extracted the original zip folder and it wasn't deleted, hope it helps

It did but I've read numerous threads and I know that the file is a false positive. Here are two scenarios:
    1. I uninstall all anti-virus and extracted it - the end result was still the same, the exe file gets deleted just a second it was extracted.
    2. I use the Microsoft Security Essentials and I have tried excluding exe file types and excluded the file location(s) of where the exe would be after extracting.
At the end it is still the same, the exe file is deleted instantly upon extraction.

I realised that no matter how I tried to disabled Symantec, it would continue running protection. So I uninstalled it and installed Microsoft Security Essentials. Now all my .exe files can run. Hopefully this thread or I could help anyone experiencing similar problems ~f2
