With how many people use shoutbox and post on the forums what they're selling, buying, and much more, why don't we bring this popular games interface to the ease of our smart phones? It would be infinitely easier to do certain features in a mobile based application than through Chrome on my phone. Plus imagine how many other people might get into forums that way? I think it would be a better and easier way to connect with the game we love if this was implemented. Plus it'd be super cool and all the people from other PS would leave to come play here
Yeah, safari is pretty much the same as my windows chrome. I actually spend more time on the iphone than the desktop.
It'd definitely make things much more convenient for people who like to chat frequently on the shoutbox. Entire webpages (especially a busy/dense one like the Royals Forums) can be a pain to load, especially when there's no access to data or reliable WiFi. That being said, I suppose the real question is whether if this is worth the time and effort lol.
I supposed there's a possibility to look into a lite version of the forum, if that's what you're implying. And yeah, the real question is whether is it worth the time lol.
I'd have to delete pictures and videos of cats, and to make room for what?! Zak, please. Spoiler: no but really After everything else is done I don't see why not. Could be cool.
If you go to other forums that use Xenforo and read threads about creating an app for the forums, you'll see just about everyone will give the same reply "The forum is already optimized for mobile, what would a separate app do that the site currently doesn't?" I'm a member of several forums and that is literally the response at every forum. So personally I feel it would be a waste of time and resources to create an app which really wouldn't do anything different than what you get by visiting the forums on your phone right now.
You can use any web browser. Tapatalk requires a plugin to be installed on the backend which we do not intend to install.
If I recall correctly there was also an issue with tapatalk allowing people to bypass certain posting restrictions, which is why it was disabled from the Mapleroyals forums.
