Hello! Over the years I've noticed there's a very similar pattern in terms of events. I guess this is done mainly because of practical reasons, but it feels like the events we're getting are technically the same, just reskinned and with different awards. Don't get me wrong, I love events, but I feel that it gets a bit "outdated" to run the same themes (collect X, Y and Z and get item A) like the Thanksgiving events has. The addition of a Jump Quest for certain events is a good change, from my viewpoint. However, it feels like the major parts of events are very much the same, which is why I felt like addressing it. If events like the "chairs dropping from mobs" event that ran when I first joined, or maybe events like Guy Fawkes or other random events also could come around, like La Tomatina , that agent event or like The Visitor event could also pop up, then that could be grand. And I know events aren't (hopefully atleast :S) the biggest priority as there still are bugs out there from the update, but I felt like it is good to maybe come in with some feedback before eventual planning for the (hopefully) next event starts. short version: feels like many events are way too similar, is there a way to maybe have events that are a bit more unique and events that differ from each other from time to time
If you've got any information links about prior GMS events that are possible to do now - such as v83 or before - then feel free to post and share it! I agree that the events we've done have sort of become repetitive, so I would be glad to see what was done in the past and what could be implemented or modified for our server.
Well, GMS used to have an agent event aswell as an alien event (I believe that was done after v83 though ) EMS used to have events based on European culture (could possibly do some events based on Asian/American(continental not the US) cultures aswell since there are players from all around the globe here) like La Tomatina (kill bg tomato, gather some etc recipe items and make tomato juice + some Ben's farm thing I never did) and events for Oktoberfest (gather some items to access a tent with drunk mobs, then kill then to get a 10 attk sausage hat lol) and other minor events like the Dutch Queen's birthday celebration. I think both servers also had Guy Fawkes, but I don't remember that all too well. There was also an event (by that Gold Richie NPC, I think?????) to collect 20 of 4 letters to access a kind of mini dungeon with different kinds of eggs(?) as rewards, which gave out like a belt, some exp, scrolls for the belt & such.
