Or if you're looking for something that not many people sell like female thief equips. I don't want to spend 10mins looking for something that doesn't exist in any merchants.
Hired Merchants really make all the low value thing such as some equip or potion impossible to sell, which cost a lot of trouble . I remember what i used to do before the change is I would regularly go over all the shop in cc1 once or twice per day, which is time-consuming but fun, but atm the amount of shops in FM are just overwhelming and more importantly, disproportionate to the amount of buyer there are, and therefore it discourage people(or at least me) from going shopping. And what happens is that some equips or some less popular scrolls which used to be selling ok-ish has now become almost impossible to sell since the competition is tripled(or even more) but the amount of buyer remain the same (or worse, become less), and unless you are blessed with a very good position in FM or you only sell popular items that are often searched by the owl, otherwise, you are pretty much doomed, which is bad for the overall environment of FM cause people will be less willing to sell anything that is not popular and it will affect the overall diversity in FM.
I feel like the same stuff is there, just there's a lot more of it. Its like a flea market instead of a garage sale. It is a tad overwhelming though..
I used to be a wholesome market stall merchant, but now I can't even interact with my customers or put food on the table for my family no more. Dem darned NPCs and rise of automation taking all our jerbs.
Just an opinion about owls. Old boys in this server with numerous 4th job mages won't mind using Owls for every search in fm as they can earn the 3m with equivalent or less time in a popular grinding map. However, what about newbies? Every million may count for their little budget earned from farming WG from stirges or from npcing low lvl equips. They could be shopping in fm to buy 2m worth GFA 60%s just to upgrade their gears. They can't use owls all the time and there are increasing number of newbies making up large proportion of royals population.
