About us Both Raddy and myself started playing MapleRoyals at the end of 2013, both seeking the nostalgia of the old, pre-Big Bang MapleStory we loved so much. Ever since, we've been an active part of this community and tried to help it continue to grow. This is our way to help the community: With an extra bit of fun and entertainment, as well as relaxation in the way of community events. It's a nice addition to the current GM events and is the perfect way to socialize, meet new people, add a bit of competition to the grinding fest we call Maple and, most importantly, have fun! These events are mostly funded by Raddy and myself. Part of the prizes comes from the weekly lottery hosted by me, Marty, about which you can find more information here, and the last bit comes from donations from the MapleRoyals community. More about that later, though! We also aim to host events around the clock, meaning that no timezone is neglected. Events We will host a wide variety of different events. Some are regular concepts you can find on almost any MapleStory (private) server, some concepts are created by myself or Raddy, who even took the effort once of creating his own event database. Both of us have GM experience and are well-known with the way of hosting events, which will definitely be of use for both us and the participants! More events will be added over time. (Betrayal) Q&A Easy concept of us asking a (maple-related) question and the participants giving an answer. The first to give an answer wins that round. Is made for small prizes. Can also be hosted in "Betrayal"-style, meaning the winner of a round gets to eliminate a certain number of other participants, either publicly or closed. There's several themes for the questions: MapleStory-related, general knowledge, anything! Some are explained in Raddy's event database (e.g. Nobody Ever Listens To Me). Jump Quests Name says it all: Jump quests. This includes Forest of Patience, Deep Forest of Patience, Kerning Subway and many other jump quests that you can find and practice in-game! Russian Roullette This is a luck-based event. Participants choose a platform, and we, the hosts, have a platform pre-determined. Those that choose our pre-determined platform(s) are disqualified and obliged to leave the event. Often hosted in one of the Ludibrium FM rooms. Wheel of Fortune Quite a lot like Hangman (and the TV show with the same name); we, the hosts, as for a certain word in the form of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _. We will slowly add letters, one by one. The first to guess it right wins that round. Calls for small prizes. We might host this as small, spontaneous event through SMEGAs! Hide & Seek Just like the actual hide 'n seek game children often play. We will hide an unknown mule in a random map somewhere. The first to find us wins. We will give hints using SMEGAs every so often, often referring to the look, concept, design, purpose or NPCs and monsters in/of the map. Super Mega Minigames! We will ask a question, sing the first line of a song and have you name it, do a hangman board, anything, really, in a SMEGA. First to whisper/SMEGA the right answer wins! So you could really see this as a combination of several events as mini-games with small prizes, in which you don't have to go anywhere to participate. Schedule & Winners Will be updated once we started hosting events. We will announce when we host events often, but might spontaneously host an event sometimes, too! Donations Donations are always welcome; but they're not mandatory at all! Anything is accepted; both mesos and items that are of any value (this includes everything from Chaos Scrolls to iTCG items, (valuable) NX items and even SMEGAs and AP resets). All donations are greatly appreciated and I guarantee that they will be used for the events only. All donations are taken care of by me, Marty. Glad to see that someone took over what I was doing! I had a great time while I, and on a couple of occasions Raddy hosted Community Events. If you want, I am more than happy to give you some items that I didn't have time to give away... whenever I get on my characters. I hope you enjoy hosting these events as much as I did, and continue to now while being GM. Wish you, and Raddy the best of luck in this.

First event! It was a great success! 1st place (150m): Asagi 2nd place (100m): Aelixa 3rd place (75m): Hiplodia We hosted a Betrayal Q&A event; we first asked everyone what they wanted, and the majority wanted Betrayal instead of normal Q&A. There were 47 people, and thanks to every one of them for coming! LoL hater right there. The winners! Also, thanks to Afee and Manny for the donations!

Hosted a second, spontaneous event today! Majority decided for a normal Q&A event. Congrats to the winners! 1st place: SassyBass (won a White Scroll) 2nd place: Gazza (won 80,000,000 mesos) 3rd place: Mikasaa (won a Skull Throne) We tried a new question category called "Random Bullshit". As the name suggests... It's about random bullshit. Quite a few people didn't like it after the first Random BS question ("What deity do Pastafarians worship?" - Answer: Flying Spaghetti Monster) and left... Ah, well. Lesson learned, aye? I'm hosting an event today in approximately 2.5-3 hours. I will smega about it beforehand in-game! Not sure what kind of event; I'll smega about that, too. Can this thread be moved to the Community section? Think it's more fitting there.
Cancelled today's event due to server stability reasons. If everyone keeps d/c'ing, then what is the point in hosting an event? There will be an event tomorrow, though! 100% guaranteed! Most likely around the same time, too.

This is some fancy thing you got here, mate! - Referring to the construction of the map, light and big magnifying glass. This part of the construction is kind of superfluous. - There's platforms that have no use at all. This thing doesn't fit the rest, does it? - Ludibrium Train doesn't fit the Orbis scenery. Woah, that's fast! - You go to Ludi instantly on MapleRoyals. Am I on time or should I wait? - There's a clock, and the train departs every 10 minutes (normally). It took a long time to walk all the way here! - Referring to the long pathway to the station. Won by Pompeii Spoiler: Kerning City Repair Hall You know that one's broken, right? - Map name includes "Repair". Also a reference to the one out of five broken fans. It feels kind of gloomy here, in my opinion. - Kerning City is gloomy. Ooooohh, sparkly! - There's ores and jewels lying around. I have a refined taste. - Worst pun. This place is so structured. - All platforms are really structured. Those aren't meant to be thrown... - There's Lupins in the map, and Lupins throw bananas, which are meant to be eaten.
