Hello! I just installed the client and when I try to open the game on my computer I get this error code "error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified Error)". It looks a lot like the error codes posted in the FAQ but it doesn't match any of them. I tried doing all the solutions posted in the FAQ with no luck. I already tried doing all the basic stuff, running as administrator, restarting PC, reinstall etc.. Any defined solution to this or things I should try? I appreciate your help, I'm actually really excited to play this server I haven't played maple since back in 2006 or so and the community looks amazing! I hope to get my roommate and girlfriend into the game
After playing around with settings for an hour I've stumbled onto another error message, error code: -2147221008 (CoInitialize has not been called) I've messed with the Compatibility mode, Override high DPI scaling and running as an admin for over an hour. Still no luck. I had my GF install on her computer and it worked no problem, she didn't even have to run as an administrator :[ If it helps I'm running Windows 10 64bit Update 2 (1hr later) Found a program called "lolwut" that was meant to run older versions of maplestory on newer OS, still no luck.
@Kai Thanks for the GM reply, however I've messed with all of the settings in compatibility several times with no luck. Here's how mines looking now.
I'm having the same issue, I've been trying different solutions on the thread. The mapleroyalsnowindowmode.exe wouldn't work for me because my computer detects it as a virus even with me disabling the antivirus. Error code: -2147467259
Yeah I only have windows anti virus and I allowed everything through it, the EXE and Install file, no success.
I just got it to work with the mapleroyalsnowindow.exe I had to go through the properties of the exe and unblock it from windows.
Can you flesh this out a bit more? I'm not sure what the mapleroyals'nowindow'.exe file is, I only see mapleroyals.exe. Where was the setting to unblock from Windows?

I tried the link but my antivirus instantly deleted the file. Any other solutions? Getting this same error every time I try and boot the game.
Hey guys, i've had this problem too, and what worked for me was setting my refresh rate to 60 in graphics settings
i changed to 1920 x 1200 on big hp screen and solved error code - 2147467259 If its once running i just change back to 2560 x 1440.
Man that helped me. I changed it to 800 x 600 and solved it. After that i changed it back to my settings LUL
