Hi guys, I am interested in making a shadower and have some question regarding it. 1) as a shadower do i have to hp wash? If yes to how much hp? ( for every boss except ht) 2) is it working making compared to other classes? 3) and whats your view on shads as a whole? Thanks guys would love to hear some responses back! Thanks in advance
My first and only 4th job class in maple. I chose it cus I used to play a Shadower prebb. In my opinion, it's a very unique and awesome class The only problem with it is that you either need to be really funded or rich to boss (either really good eqps to deal good dmg with assassinate+b-step or blow up alot of mesos). From the time I've played this shadower I can tell you I've enjoyed it ALOT. Savage Blow is one of my favourite skills in the game and bossing on 3rd job is hella fun. You can kill Headless Horseman and Bigfoot from lvl70(!!) which gives amazing exp and is hella fun. I haven't washed any hp and so far never needed more hp (meso guard blocks 50% dmg). IMO the Shadower class as a whole is amazing, since there are a few combos which are amazing and a few tricks (assaulter) which you can use. I hope this helped
1) as a shadower do i have to hp wash? If yes to how much hp? ( for every boss except ht) For this technically no. You can survive Zakum at 70 with level 1 Meso Guard. I'd suggest doing so because it opens up Angeo and a less stressful Big Foot kill. Which are both great exp late game. 2) is it working making compared to other classes? This is a rather subjective question. You're basically asking is it worth it. It depends what you want out of it. If you like big numbers and probably being the second least played class in Royals then yeah go for it Fam. If you're single purpose is to dump out DPS then I'd say no. 3) and whats your view on shads as a whole? Shadowers are a truly unique class. Which is why I have one. The funding required to be efficient is none. You can solo Zak pre 4th job. You will out DPS most sub level 145 characters just because you do a raw number for damage, where the other players damage is based off their equips. However with early game power comes late game drop off (Sorta). In terms of Late game you'll have the option to HT. You can be rather efficient if done properly. But funding is where the issue lies here as most of your damage will come from Boomerang Step/ Assassinate. Not to mention its difficult to hit head B of HT without a platform. All in all, its a class, some like it some don't. It doesn't hurt to try something new.
shadower is by far the most unique class in-game. versatile, dynamic, fast, sneaky, raw. I might run out of adjectives. as people said above, you have the incredible perk to vanish bosses at earlier levels. once you hit chief bandit, and start adding into both meso explosion and meso guard, your playability drastically changes. perks of meso explosion at max level is that it's based on static damage. meaning the damage output relies on your mesos. meaning you can choose to bomb all geared up, or even completely naked and tons of damage, regardless. on the other hand, you'll be using most of your skills in battle. it's similar to buccaneer in terms of switching skills, moving around, doing combos and such. you're the master of avoidability. you can surf around the whole maple world and barely get hit by monsters. this also makes out for better DPS, of course! I'd say the only downside of being a shadower, is the VERY tedious 2nd job. bandit lacks any AoE skill, but hey, savage blow is freaking COOL! I also would love to say more about this class, but in top of all, it's the MOST FUN class I've ever played. I am currently maining one, and ahhh... how good it feels. just test it out! you can watch some videos too. I'll leave you with one that used to motivate me way back then!
dps suck and will likely be one of the last people to be asked to join a horntail run for example. As others have already stated early game shadowers have quite a bit better dps than other classes and its possible to solo certain bosses in 3rd job. Late game your dmg will not be great, the amount of funds you will have to dish out on gear and apples to just match your ME dps is really high and i'd say most players would not be able to achieve this. With that I don't want to discourage anyone from trying to achive this, if they really want to be able to outdps their ME. What I want to get across with this is that if you want to do a lot of horntails/krexels/zakums with random people/friends you should probably not make a shadower. If you don't care too much about being asked to join boss runs then and you like how shadowers look/play then its probably a class for you. If you want to boss and still play shadower then you should probably get really good at dropping mesos because it will be the best dps and i think people who do boss runs prefer if you're using the most efficent skill in order to dps.
This is semi true. However we don't know how nutty the Seduction is gonna be and my god shadowers are gods at being sed mules. but take this with a grain of salt. If you enjoy the class play it. If not find something you enjoy.
If I weren't originally a Hero back in GMS days I'd probably main a shadower in Royals. I recently made a Chief Bandit to take a break from my Hero and I can honestly say it's the most fun class I've played thus far. Granted it's only at level 96 right now, but, with barely any funding, I can push out wicked damage. Side Note: Savage Blow + Pickpocket + Meso Explosion = most fun you'll ever have while grinding
Haha nice, pretty unique thought on shadowers, you dont hear this about them a lot. your really persuading me now! Thanks for the info!!!
