Hi guys, Been wondering what's the best approach for Night Lord. At this moment I'm a level 7x Hermit with no dex at all. A guide I've been following advises me to go low dex and start raising my dex after level 80, but how would this be beneficial for my DPS? I've been told in-game I shouldn't go dexless but lowdex, but I have no clue why and how that would increase my DPS. With some pretty good dex items you can get approx. 110 dex by using dex gear (I might have made a mistake while making this calculation, please correct me if I'm wrong). Can anyone explain this to me and possibly tell me what the best approach would be?
For my NLs that I've made, I started each with a base dex of 80 to be able to wear either RC or Dragon Sleeve. Whichever you want to own / do own. You can start with lower of course, but thats depending on the dex gear you own that will allow you to wear either of these claws late game. It all depends on the gear you will have once you reach lvl 135 and actually start bossing with groups. Of course you could wear a Pyrope Claw if you really want to, but late game youll eventually make it to 25 base dex and still be able to wear Sleeve / Craven.
I agree with 80 DEX being a decent amount to have as a starting point and from there lowering it when getting better equips. One advice I can also give is that if you care about gear (which you probably do because you wanna be DEXless) is to not scroll your Zhelm and continue dropping/looting those until you get a clean 20+/20+ stats and then White Scrolling it (long term goal!). Being DEXless and wearing a Craven or Sleeve is something you will only achieve super late game (probably 190+).
