so yeah this whole robot thing, and captcha thing is getting pretty obnoxious every time i login and theres no cookies to track the fact i confirmed i aint a robot 9999 times , i think if its getting annoying for me it must be getting annoying to some others as well, i was thinking of a solution and well i found it. solution : replace the cannoying captcha login. for a 4 digit Player login pin. Each Activated MapleRoyals account should come with a 4 digit , default and changeable PIN. in order to login in addition to the username and pass to avoid the frustration every login. also with a beautiufl little remember me box. all youd have to do is enter you pin and voila! no website spam+ . also makes your account more secure. tell me your opinions would love to hear!
It's a good idea, but robots can avoid that pin input. At least if it's as GMS where numbers were buttons and always in random positions.
i mean on some level , bots are still able to click where the script tells it to. but your right it does outsmart the bot, i think your point is quite valid and the pin would most likely have to be clicks through-- a constant number generating pad like in the original maple login which could actually make this site feel more genuine, and perhaps make it feel more at home and less 'spammy'
may you explain the one click verification? because i think i 1 click is way less secure than a pin. speaking of which ive never seen 1 click verification and im on mobile right now. still had todo the CAPTCHA . but the whole point is. the captcha are often defective and takes 5-6 tries even with the correct panels depending the platform being used, mac, linux watever ,mobile idc. , . and it gets to be fairly frustrating when your just trying to log real quick on your 10min break. and dont have 15 min to retry the same combinations over n over. as where a pin would obviously save time and defectiveness, and who cares if robots solely ''login'' lol if they play like a bot they get banned anyway and if you double vote you get banned sooo loleven if they login . just makes the numbers look good being more active. they cant do anything furthermore anyway
personally id be worried more about people who hack the game with trainers or modified files, rather than useless accounts that login. due to the fact a hacker will get passed any verification and hence ruin the game with questionable abilities n skills. this server needs more devs --imo -- literally , there is still 174 unclosed heads in the website code. if anyone wanted to they could literally bring back any event , easter, halloween or chair event by themselves through that. side note: half the game content is missing. whoever works on the code itself needs a pot of coffee. just saying long road ahead. but dont give up even when it feels like you oughta. good luck have a wonderful day people.
"Crazy damage by bringing up old server checks" -- you mean showing a notice for an old server check on the website? Because I don't see that as "crazy damage" Don't sound so alarmist when you don't know what you are talking about please.
i think you dont know what your talking about bud lol , bring up your pâcket editors ! oh wait you cant dev LOL!
Of course people attempting to hack the game with trainers, modified files, etc is a concern of ours. That is why we are the first and only server to now have 100% accurate damage validation which makes it impossible to deal more damage than you are supposed to. For example, a hacker changing their files or using a damage hack to deal 199,999 damage on a mob will not work, and only the correct damage will be dealt to the monster. We also have accurate attack speed validation for fast attack hacking, and soon will implement player and pet movement validation. In my opinion, our developer is doing a fantastic job to protect the integrity of the server for everyone. Unclosed head tags on the website pose no risk at all and is simply just part of our bad web design. We still regularly do security checks to ensure that our website does not have issues that may pose risks to the server. However, we do also plan to revamp the website at some point in the future to make it more modern. Your suggestion that hackers can bring back events and cause damage via the website is entirely false. As for the topic at hand, the reason why you are being asked to solve big, complicated CAPTCHA problems every time is that Google doesn't trust that you are a human, probably based on past behaviour on the Internet or if you are using a fairly common VPN service.
