I just read the post about finding ban appeals hilarious (some really are), then decided to read a few ban appeals...and came across a few about "~stats glitch". What is this command, and what constitutes a ban? I'd like to know so I can avoid it altogether.
People were able to add ~dex 50000 for example, to gain 50k dex. This worked with any stat but has now been fixed.
I had a feeling it was something like that. That command is common in Commands.Java on most sources, but the code checks the amount of AP available against the amount the player entered. You can only add what you have. Did the patch apply this method of the functionality?
I believe the glitch was that you ~stats'd a negative number. YOu were then given that number (positive) in that stat, as well as that number (positive) in AP still to use. Regardless it's been patched, so you're not going to use it... and it's the people who abused it on purpose (used it more than once or used it obviously, ie 100's of points) that appear to be banned, so as long as you use common sense I don't think you have anything to worry about.
As Chok said, this was already discussed in a thread yesterday. The issue has been resolved and there is nothing to be concerned about.
