Ban message when attempting to log in: Illegal use of third party programs What GM banned you (optional): N/A I was playing MapleRoyals on Saturday (7/12/2014) on IGN: Idris. My screen was windowed because my friend wanted to watch the Smite Weekly Tournaments while I was playing. I had logged off to get dinner, and left my computer on for my friend to watch the tournament and when I returned, my friend told me that he installed hacks (cheat engine) and had gotten banned, not knowing that our accounts would be banned as well. I know that it doesn't help my case that the hacks were installed onto my laptop but I really couldn't do anything about the situation. If I had known that my friend would do this, then I would have stopped him. I have been playing on MR for a few months now and wouldn't make a new account to hack and get banned so I hope you believe me
There is nothing we can do, especially since the hacks were installed on your computer, not just another computer on the network.
I can't imagine how you could but if you have anything you would like to show the staff, we would certainly look at it.
You could skype with my friend and have him explain the situation. I also have screenshots of me telling someone from royals (through Skype) that I was going out with friends at the the time of the ban and screenshot and another screenshot of him messing with my skype on my laptop. I know that skype screenshots aren't legitimate evidence but it's all that I have :/
The evidence you sent does not establish that you were not responsible for what happened on your computer. I cannot lift the ban.
I understand that the evidence I have submitted is not sufficient enough to prove that I'm not the hacker. Just like everyone else, I'm an old maplestory player who is sick of new gms and wants to relive v62 maplestory. It doesn't concern me that my account is banned but I would like to ask of one thing. Is it possible to let me start fresh once I return from camp because having my account banned wouldn't stop me from having fun as long as I'm able to play on this server. It sucks to have my maplestory experience end due to someone hijacking my computer. I understand that I am fully responsible for what happened because I didn't lock my computer and the hacks were installed on my computer but it would make me really glad if you could allow me to continue to play on this server.
