No one uses elestaffs, they're trash.
Ele5/6 are the most common for bishops. They both come from common gachapon so they're not rare like 7/8 and they have INT clean whereas 7/8 have LUK.
Over 180 tma scrolled is a good goal.

elemental wand 6 is cheapest cost in 130 wands. ;) because only few ppls bossing on fire/poison mage with paralyze. (at least I dont know who is doing this)
also wand 6 is able to get from shrine gachapon! shrine is giving chaos scroll and more usefull scrolls too. (ez meso farming ;))
and many ppls gachaing at this spot, shrine is popular gacha spot! but wand 6 isnt popular.
so, unpopular wand = you can buy high tma stats wand for low cost. (well, cost is at least 800m on tma 180 (source from some selling thread))

yeah as @Inusama said, if TMA 180 or higher, its able to call "decent wand" :D

    p.s.
elemental staffs are useless :'( usually I using elemental wand.

Just wanted to chime in and write this up so I could link future people in shoutbox if they inquired about wand versus staff builds! :D

There's a 13 magic loss if someone were to use an Elemental Staff 6, the highest TMA mage weapon in game, even under the most ideal conditions, without throwing chaosing into the equation of course. By going with the minimum 23 base luk, you can achieve a maximum of 1691 magic. Had someone geared a perfect mage with an Elemental Staff 6, they end up at 1678 magic. I didn't add in the magic gain with shoes, since it's ideal to chaos them for high magics and that's inherently unpredictable. I did include them under the staff build for the highest clean luk in getting to equip the staff with as little base luk as possible. I also figured the optimum overall and glove with the staff build, but even with the godly max on all items in the staff build, you still need 43 additional base luk to equip the staff. It's also unrealistic because the staff build would require the mage to find things like Zakum Helmets that are both 22 int and 22 luk clean, as well at 13 int 13 luk clean Horntail Necklaces, and so on. Nevermind the godly max int and luk on all the Blue Elemental equipment that's only attainable from the Ellinia Gachapon hahaha! It's an absurdly difficult and highly unrealistic expectation these items will be found, so for the people who want to go with a staff build should do so only for fun and because they want to, not because they think they'll reach the highest magics with it. Equip stats assumed below! :D

    23 luk
    52 int Zakum Helmet
    11 int Maple Leaf
    21 int Raccoon Mask
    51 TMA Crystal Leaf Earring
    28 int Horntail Necklace
    8 magic Wiseman Medal
    62 int Dark Enigma
    27 TMA Purple Gaia Cape
    42 TMA Brown Work Glove
    8 int Almighty Ring
4 TMA 2 Carat Lovebirds Wedding Ring
    1 int Pumpkin Pie Ring
    1 int Zombie Army Ring
    219 TMA Elemental Wand 5
    58 TMA Maple Magician Shield

    253 TMA Elemental Staff 6 (+34 magic)
    165 luk required
    956 base int
    1.1x with MW 20
    1098 int
    23 base luk
    1.1x with MW 20
    25 base luk
    22 luk Zakum Helmet
    28 luk Horntail Necklace
10 luk Blue Czar (63 int, +1 magic)
11 luk Blue Elemental Gloves (41 TMA, -1 magic)
    8 luk Almighty Ring
3 luk 2 Carat Lovebirds Wedding Ring
    1 luk Pumpkin Pie Ring
    1 luk Zombie Army Ring
    9 luk Blue Elemental Shoes
43 additional base luk required for 34 magic gain
    66 base luk total
    13 magic net loss

Edit: Edited Purple Gaia Cape to 27 TMA, the normal WS 10% max magic on the item. I forgot to adjust the base int for a staff build since you'd have to take 43 AP from int and put them in luk to equip the staff haha! 956 base int, 1051 int with MW 20. 47 int less compared with the 999 base int of the wand build. So with the 34 magic gain of a staff over a wand, then subtracting the 47 magic loss from the additional base luk you'd need, there's actually a 13 magic loss with equipping a staff, even under the most ideal conditions. GG. :p
