Maplestory Scrolling Simulator - Test your luck before important scrolling projects!

Have you ever wondered what it would take to scroll that perfect piece of equipment? How many blow-ups of your equipment before it gets that wonderful yellow shine around its name?
Well, now you can find out!

This is a Scrolling Simulator that I thought I would publish here for you all to enjoy!

Some features:

When downloaded, needs no internet connection to function

Easy-to-use user interface

10%, 30%, 60%, 70%, Chaos- and White Scrolls can be used.

Statistics let you compare your scroll success rate with the specified one, showing how lucky you are.

Autoscrolling-mode lets you try landing up to 10 scrolls in a row (this takes time, especially if your processor is slow!)

As of now, no. But I could implement it. Would you be interested?

However, I am not sure how the chaos scroll works. I think I had a discussion about it a long time ago. Like, if all the outcomes (assuming the 60% part "worked") are equally likely to occur.

 

Basically if the chaos doesn't fail you get an equal chance to get any number between -5 and +5 for every stat (including +0 lol) Also you can add white scrolls to see how many ws it takes to 10% lol

 

Okay, so there are 11 outcomes, meaning that there's a 60/11 (around 5%) chance for all of those respectively, and 40% chance that nothing happens (in essence, all stats gets a +0). Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "+0" is also part of the "success"?

 

Yeah I saw some people who succeeded but got +0 atk o.o

 

Now, a new version of this program is available (1.0.4). Chaos Scroll is now added. You can download the new version simply by starting up the program normally (if you already downloaded it) - it will search for updates. Otherwise, follow the normal download link. Enjoy

 

I don't think I will implement WS. I could, in case someone more is interested, but in my opinion it's not very interesting. If I'm scrolling a weapon with 7 slots from start with WSs, it will probably take 70 WSs (if I use 10% scrolls)

 

You should. There is a thing called dummy scrolling which allows you to use less ws than needed. My best dummy rate was 4 slots passed with 8 ws only. Another 4 slots with 22 ws needed and 5 slots with 27 ws needed. I PERSONALLY, will be pleased and thankful if you were to include it

 

My worst dummies were twice, my shiner and my ST because I screwed the count. Just because you suck at ws doesn’t mean everyone does. I don’t give fuck about you 10% independent event. Have you ever use a white scroll to scroll a perfect weapon instead buying one finished? I have with 7 perfect weapons total out of 2 went wrong

 

I once dummy scrolled and went 4/8 on the first 8 10% scrolls i used on a lv10 nub weapon... After that i promised myself i would never dummy scroll again, so recently when i scrolled my 8/5 bwg i went 4/9 on the last 4 slots. 10% = 10% so dummy scrolling makes 0 sense.

 

And don’t you think I have been on the same? I have passed 4 slots on a lvl 0 sword. The trick with dummy is that you gotta recognize when this +4 on a row comes. My best has been 3 out of 1 dummy. Again just because you guys doesn’t find sense on it doesn’t mean is a lie, garbage or w.e

How can you recognize when the +4 comes Lmao.... as if you can see when the scroll is going to work. If that was the case i would’ve had 10 perfect weapons and i bet everyone would.

Hehe, the discussion that popped up here was quite enjoyable to read. Maybe I should add a "Dummy Scroll" to the program as well?

Also, I added a little feature - "Dummy Scrolling". If you check the checkbox, your "normal" scrolling statistics will no longer be affected, and neither will your piece of equipment.
Sorry to disappoint someone out there if statistics show same % with the "non-dummy scroll"...

Oh, and I also allowed for pricing scrolling and items, letting you see how much your scrolling project has costed (or will cost, I should say)

As someone who can't afford scrolling a bunch of items, I approve of this simulator. It also shows me once again how terrible my luck is lol.
