New topic: Posts 7+ Spoiler I might do ACB > Blast > HC > 20 Stance I've been training at petrifighters which don't have any specific weakness but I don't know how they compare to training at other spots really, so would HC/Stance really be at all worth it before blast? HC > Stance? Max blast by 133 would be perfect for BF as dizzysean says plus it would allow me to max other things out quicker assuming I can find BF often enough. If I'm training at neutral monsters then the extra 15% from HC seems a whole lot less useful. I'm only concerned if I want to train at Himes/Skeles, but even then I'd still have a max ACB which wouldn't do terribly. Old Topic if curious: Posts 1-6 Spoiler HH vs HC 4th job is fast approaching and I've had my skill build set in stone in my head but some new thoughts have started to erode it away. It's generally accepted that as a Paladin, you want to max ACB followed by HC. Why is this? ACB = OP and HC is your strongest attack vs neutral mobs, as well as Himes and Skeles weakness. People often blindly ignore diamonds in the rough and just go with what everyone else did, but I enjoy finding those diamonds. But what exists now? ToT. Everything in RoR is weak to lightning, which is the 2nd best charge after Holy. Lightning vs Holy Spoiler Max lightning < 13+ Holy vs Neutral Max lightning < 16+ Holy vs Weakness Max lightning < 2+ Holy vs Holy weak(Ignoring the length of lvl 2 HC) Max lightning > Any Holy vs Lightning weak Is HC 100% worth it after ACB? A few popular bosses Spoiler BF is weak to fire Crow is weak to lightning HH is weak to lightning Pianus is weak to fire Anego is weak to holy.. AND lightning A skill that I've always thought was fun is HH, but I have a few questions about it in royals Spoiler - Is the cooldown 20 seconds in royals? I went to a v62 archive of hidden street and it said 100 seconds, though i know that HS isn't extremely reliable. If it's not 20 seconds then this thread should probably just get trashed. - Does HH cap off at 100k damage or does it depend on the damage cap like snipe does? - What drops HH 20/30? I assume that I'll be soloing ToT since that's what it was like whenever I went there in GMS on my MM. That's where the issue comes in though; Even during 3rd job right now, my best training spot isn't even where i have an elemental advantage, it's where I party with a priest (Himes). It's a bit depressing that my best exp is in a neutral area when I'm an elemental warrior. Max HH at 133 would allow for soloing any ToT map even though my damage isn't amazing(Unfunded), but would that even be better than a party with a bish at skeles, where I could extremely buff my damage with HC anyway? I could use HH in both places but unless it's marginally better for training somewhere then HC probably has many more advantages. I remember reading people debate on HC vs HH years back on basil but what's true for GMS isn't always true here, not that either side ever seemed to have a clear victory. Thanks
Hi! I don't actually play on this server but I like to help out every now and then. At level 120, most people add 1 into rush for mobbing purposes, ACB because it replaces both power strike and slash blast immediately (most private servers have it where ACB doesnt rid your charge even at level 1). Some people put another in ACB for damag e, others put it in HH just to have the cool skill. Onwards you should max ACB by level 123, which then I recommend maxing HC because its a huge damage increase towards usable training areas such as himes and skelegons, and becomes your element vs neutral. Getting HC after ACB will make your exp rate skyrocket from the infamous WK hell you're experiencing to where you'll get much stronger much quicker. The problems with HH is that it takes very long to become useful, even at level 25 it has a cool down of over a minute. (If I remember v62 correctly), a skill like that isn't useful in grinding until max level, so you spend 10 more levels in hell (more of an "uncomfortable waiting room" now because of ACB) HH 30 the skillbook is also dropped by HT, which doesn't really go on here (or have you guys yet?). Either way simply obtaining the skillbook would be a challenge, if not impossible. So after ACB and HC I usually go for Stance and Blast for bossing BF/etc. (Which I don't think exists here! There goes your hopes and dreams.) Get stance to 20 for a comfy 80% success rate and blast for that single target damage, get maple warrior then finish stance. Now this is when I max HH, because its still useful for mob control, farming, zakum arms and horntail. It's also a really nice nuke that bypasses the damage cap and goes through Cancel Wep Att, the stronger you get the more useful it gets. For final training areas since you don't have BF you will probably be in ToT, the best place for a paladin would be to go to (chief/non) Qualm Guardians, the blue guys). They're lightning weak and you should have enough SP by their level to do well. They also have important etc drops if Maker skill is here (I don't know, probably not?) For bosses you could do anego if you have the HP, paladins are great at pinning bosses against the wall, sadly they can't anego like a hero can (they dont get hit) Heros are better at zakum because of how brandish works, I would not recommend having a pally solo arms, too inefficient. Blahblahblah, I've written too much. One last note. Just remember years ago, people were arguing on basil that high Dex builds were viable because it gave you 'more stable damage'. TLR: ACB>HC>Stance>Blast>MW>HH Skelegons/himes>Qualm Guardians>Ht and Zak parties
Ah yes, I can't wait for that level 1 rush and ACB(all my priest friends hit better on himes than I do!). I wasn't aware that most PS made you keep your charge 100% at level 1! I hope it's like that here xD ... I was thinking that I'd have to wait until 123 to be able to use it effectively. That massive increase of damage at Himes(Somewhere that I usually love to train) is the main reason I've been leaning towards HC as well as having many priest friends who I could train there with. Is HH30 is from HT then I'll just forget it all together until later. I probably won't do blast right after ACB because I like to milk training spots until they're actually unbearable before moving onto the next(Like certain bosses, etc). Even with the frequent crashes we have, I don't think I'd like to relying on bossing for training just yet. BF does in fact exist though! ~~ I solod BF for the first time on this character the other day ^^ Your build does make a lot of sense, I've read over your guide a couple times ^^ ~ I don't think maker exists since Magatia isn't here, though I wish they did. I really hope that I can eventually survive Anego. What does her slap hit, like 18k? And as for Zakum, I'll just be happy to go whether or not I'm the best class for it. Ahahaha I remember people trying to justify their higher dex builds.
I've had a pally on this server and blast is way to go for faster lvls (bf) but if your more of a map grind like skeles or himes then acb would be way to go its all in your comfort but no doubt bf is faster in terms of lvls
New Topic: Bossing without stance induces suicidal thoughts in me, I can't do it, and I don't know anyone else could, So I always get it to at least 20 before I get Blast. Technically you could skip HC and go to stance/blast, but I dont usually find myself strong enough for BF at 133. You still have to grind to that level too, I just find life easier to go HC and grind a few more levels. I dont know how each spot is in this server, but I can give you a few numbers 1 BF is worth ~590 Skeles 1 BF is worth ~831 Himes Bf HP:EXP is 12.03:1 Skeles HP:EXP is ~17.78:1 Himes HP:EXP is 21.25:1 In all honesty if you can go for BF at 133, sure why not. The most important thing is actually surviving BF
With the consistency he is hunted, both for training and for selling leech, and the 24 hour respawn time he has here vs. the 4 hour (I think?) spawn time in GMS, I don't think it's worth it to expect that you're going to bigfoot your way through the 13X levels, unless we get some more repeated resets like we had last week where you can catch a couple of them. Even so, it will take more than "a couple" of bigfoots per level in the 13x region, so I would go with what lets you train consistently, then worry about bigfoot later on when grinding gets far too slow.
Alright, I think I'll just go with Holy >> Stance >> Blast. I prefer grinding over bossing and I can still randomly just go and BF whenever I want with ACB which is stronger than the power strike I'm used to anyway
Go for Holy >> Blast >> Stance The only boss you will have trouble with when you dont have stance is papulatus. The rest are pinnable without it. Increasing your bossing time by maxing blast over stance is MUCH better. Buuutt its preference. felt like putting in my 2 cents
Does make a lot of sense to add blast before stance actually :3 ~ It's been so long since I've played a 4th job warrior that I don't really feel as though I'm missing out anyway since I'm not used to haveing stance yet anyway xD Holy >> Blast >> Stance it is ^^
Oh also, I've had some trouble pinning BF. I don't have blast yet and was wondering if it's any easier with that than with ACB or if they're the same.
ACB is a little faster than stance, and with a fast (4) weapon, I know it's too fast to pin BF, dont know about other speeds though, I think it should be fine
I can pin BF with blast It's a bit pointless though atm because my blast is level 2 but I'm happy to see that it works. Thanks for the chart!
