My name is Adam and I just recently began here at MapleRoyals. A bit about my history with MapleStory. I began playing in May of 2008 when a friend in high school kept bothering me about it until I finally made an account and started playing. Within a couple weeks, I was a higher level than him and within a month, my weak little Warrior became a Fighter. I would continue to play until the Ascension patch which made me quit for a few months because of me not liking the EXP/drop changes such that once you're too high of a level, you get only 40% normal EXP and no drops. I returned up until the Jett patch, which is when I quit after the Thief/Pirate revamp that followed. I will be honest, I have always liked MapleStory as being a more proactive MMO where you don't click and point. You actually have to move around and play with skill. The biggest thing about MapleStory I liked was how many character builds there were. I was friends with a person who at the time was famous for having a pure DEX Chief Bandit named lnbomb. Over time, his unorthodox play style rubbed off on me and soon I became obsessed with playing the game the wrong way. Some builds I have played include, but are not limited to: -HP Warrior (had a pure HP Dragon Knight I got up to level 107 with about 40k base HP) -Pure STR Bandit aka Brigand (got to 4th job but then the Thief revamp ruined this build, making me quit at level 123 or so) -STR Mage (until the Big Bang patch ruined them) -Perma 1st job Warrior I got up to level 60 -Perma 1st job Magician I got up to level 51 or so -Perma Citizen I got to level 8x -Perma Beginner I got up to level 10x (level 88 before Big Bang; levels 76-88 I no lifed at the Golden Temple just before Big Bang) -Level 2x DEX Islander -Dagger Warrior up to level 7x -Perma Noblesse up to level 40 So yeah, you can tell I'm pretty big on odd build characters. I made my first character on here a bit ago named Unqualified, who will be my perma-noob. I plan to make an I/L Wizard later on once I get to level 20 or so as well as a Bandit. I know Bandits aren't the strongest, but I'm drawn to them for some reason. Actually, I'm in general drawn to melee classes. I also like magic-based characters and tend to find Bowmen and Pirates a bit too much for me. To those that have high level Bowmen and Pirates, I salute you. ^Thank you. I should be fine, but I'll keep you in mind if needed. I'm doing pretty well; my Beginner got to 22 and my Ice/Lightning is a solid 44. I never remember having this much motivation to grind before. And this server is the pre EXPlosion level curve too.
