Is it just me, or the new addition of having to actually wait for trips unless you buy the fast ticket is just absurd...Why did they change it -.-
This was a highly (and longly) discussed change — I highly suggest you do a quick search of the forums, and you’ll be rewarded with quite a few novels to read
all it does is make the old players that have 1m nx to pay abit to travel and new players that their only way to get money is nx to loss alot -_- srsly it sucks and might make the game not playable..
honestly, I started last week, and liked the game, but with this, it just makes everything much harder, and time consuming. It's not like I have unlimited mesos either, considering I dont play it too often. Might be time to quit soon
LOL funny thing, "You have played mapleroyals for 1 hour(s)", but i've been waiting for and on boats to ludi to victoria for 30 minutes.
I definitely understand the frustrations from players who have played Royals for a while since the convenience of no boat rides is extremely nice. However, for incoming newer players who joined the server mostly for the nostalgia of Old School Maple, I think this definitely helps add to the memorable content. I'm understanding/impartial to both sides of views.
I understand that mandatory boat rides bother quite a few players, and that the skip ticket do indeed have a price that's not too friendly towards poor or new players.. but, saying it makes the game unplayable is over exaggerating. You get 8,000 NX every day for free and a skip ticket that lasts for 1 day costs 1,000 NX. This means that if you really want to skip every boat ride ever, it's easily possible to do so as long as you're willing to accept that you either efficiently only get 7,000 NX a day, or sacrifice 3 million mesos. The only people I see at a real disadvantage here, are people who play a lot of characters on seperate accounts and thus have to buy multiple tickets if they want to stay as mobile as before (or buy tp rocks). But then again, people who play a lot of characters on Royals usually also have a few high levels and thus a decent enough meso income.
@irvko whats your ign, I'll give you 28m for a 2 week fast pass ticket. Fuck waiting on the god damn boat.
It's like going back to chariots after being on a plane lol. Sure it is fun when you get to experience it but how many times will you do it? Realistically I can see myself go on the mandatory boat ride once or twice every 6 months probably. Inflexible nostalgic policy.
The thing about this is that people are going to stop caring about this "nostalgia". The truth is, nobody wants to wait that long, and the people that fervishly fought for this for "nostalgic" reasons will soon realize that its annoying. The ones that fought for this nostalgia are also all funded, and all have the capabilities of buying countless amounts of fast travel tickets. I bet they go on the boat once or twice for the nostalgia and two weeks later, just buy the fast track tickets. This is absurd.
Have to say that I'm not too fond of the wait times for boats either. There are certain aspects of the original MapleStory that are just poor for the player experience and waiting real time for a mandatory "taxi" is not what I think of fun.
it should be optional, for those who wants to kill the balrogs or gonna do that quest thing but other than that it should not be forced upon others, mainly because it isnt really the first thing i believe most people think of when they hear "old maplestory"
