Issue: Cannot get past character selection screen - MAC ban on account.
Character Name: Ailuros
Additional Information: New to MS private servers. Just created account. Able to click character but as soon as I try to load into the game it stops working without an error code.

Mac ban, make a ban appeal in the correct section

 

"There is a ban remaining on your account. Please open a thread in Character Issues using the following format:
Issue: Cannot get past character selection screen - MAC ban on account.
Character Name:
Additional Information:" <- Those are the instructions trouble shooting gave me. If this isn't the correct thread, which is?

 

What is a MAC ban. I know a ban means you were doing something inappropriate and got removed from the game. I have never played on a private server though and haven't been banned from GMS to my knowledge. Is a MAC ban different? Like an error or something?

 

Either u get dynamic MAC adress which is banned. Or ur computer is banned from playing.

 

I purchased this computer used about 6 months ago but was told it was refurbished. Wouldn't refurbished mean that it still has the original hard drives and stuff? Is it possible that someone who owned this laptop previously was banned and this computers still banned from that?

Uhh, great. So what could I do to fix this? Or am I just screwed? When I got the laptop I did a factory reset just to make sure there wasn't anything remaining on the computer from the previous owner. Beyond that, I'm not sure what I could do. Halp :c
