Hello everyone! I decided to make a guild called Memento, which could also be short for "Memento mori".Memento mori is latin for "Remember that you're mortal". Memento mori, is a variant of the latin phrase Memento te(a) mortalem esse, which has the same message. But Memento mori is the more well-known phrase. However, Memento alone means memory or keepsake. Which I think is very fitting for Maple Royals. Maple Royals is exactly like the old golden era of Maple Story, and I know a lot of people here are in love with this server, and the people in it. I am so thankful for this server, cause it brings out the best in me, my younger years of playing Maple Story, which was the best years. But what if instead of being scared and unwilling to embrace this truth we did the opposite? What if reflecting and meditating on that fact was a simple key to living life to the fullest? Or that it was the key to our freedom." As I see it, it's important to keep that in mind. Now that you know a bit of my choice of the name you're probably wondering "Why would you have different aspects of a guild or its name?" or "Why would I join this kind of guild?" Well, with all different guilds here in Maple Royals, I'm trying to go with a (as I would call it) "sane" guild. With friendly people who needs company on their journey. We'll treat eachother with respect and try to be a helping hand for one-another. We'll keep it simple.We'll cherish the past and present. The future has yet to comeCarpe Diem (cheesy I know, but it's the best way to roll) About the choice of the guild emblem; normally when you refer to Memento mori, you think about a skull, because the message "Remember that you're mortal" reminds us that we will eventually die (it's sad I know, but that's the way). But instead I chose a bird, or a dove if you'd like. No there is no application process really, we're keepingi t simple! Just whisper me ingame (Mabui) and let me know If you're friendly and active, that's what it takes! The guild currently have 2 member out of 20, some company would be nice . We might grow in time, slowly but surely!
