Yes, which explains why we don't have a 9-5 schedule. All donations go towards funding the servers to host the game, databases, website.
Hmmm, I'm sure MapleRoyal makes well over their monthly goal of keeping the Server/Site up. But that's not really what I'm poking at. So what's your incentive for working as a GM for MapleRoyals ? Doesn't it get boring/tedious ? (-:
Some people have hobbies of building cars, and some probably enjoy more responsibility on a game that might have lots of meaning to them
For me, I applied mainly because of my experience in the gaming industry (which I left after 6 years). So since the game that I enjoy is seeking for staffs, I thought to give it a go. Yes, it's tedious at times, but it's also fruitful knowing how the little things you did can impact the community. At the end of the day, I ask for nothing more but a place where people enjoy being in.
It does, i used to stay in a certain server that wipes a lot. When the interns got their job, initially they were very active, but after a while they just disappear. Forums left unanswered for days and weeks.
Sadly, it happens here as well because #life happens. I'm guilty of it myself (I was active when selected because it was during my long summer vacation, but am on school term now). Sometimes things go unanswered because it's out of our jurisdiction (hacked accounts, refunds, etc).
