I just started my journey here on royals and went with an f/p mage because its the class that I really havent gotten far with back in the days. I have a few questions. 1.) Whats the best way to spend my nx on as a beginner? 2.) Should I worry about equips early on in the game? currently at 43 3.) What end game awaits me as a f/p mage?
Need mesos real quick? Sell APR! Need mesos for long term investments? Gacha gacha gacha! Not bothered by $$, but rather appearance? Cash yourself up! Probably save some for a pet to auto pot yourself, too. Don't need to worry about equipments at all, until 4th job! Worry about it by then, because you will be poison mist training at 3rd job, and mostly PQ during 2nd! Just get a decent Maple weapons and you're good to go. 1hit Petri. That's all there is to it, in most cases. You can solo bosses if you want, like this guy here, but really, usually end game for archmages mean 1hitting petri/ob4. We aren't really (actually, totally not) wanted for any other bossing squads.
1.) Use NX to get a pet and auto-lot first. Loot might not seem like much most of the time, but when you fill up your inventory with them its good cash. When you get to level 50, you got two options: Sell AP resets for a stable income or gach and hope to get something good and sell it for good cash. With the current market's fluctuation its hard to determine exactly what's the ratio, but a general rule of thumb is that if you get 1 CS every 3 or 4 runs, that makes it better than selling AP resets. 2.) Nope. From 43 ~ 51 you'll be LPQing and 51 ~ 70 LMPQing. Once you hit level 70, use that one SP in Explosion and use the SPs from the following levels to max Poison Mist. Here you'll have to train either at Jesters/DTs/MDTs for optimal EXP using Poison Brace and it doesn't rely on your magic; its damage is based on the % of the monster's EXP so no need for good equips. Once you get around level 20 Poison Mist, go to Ulu 2 to train. Train there until you max Poison Mist, and from there on you can still train at Ulu 2, but if you're good at misting, you can now train at Petris. You'll be there pretty much until level 200. Equips won't matter until level 120 since that's where you'll be using Meteor to train instead. What I'd suggest as a low level F/P is to either save your money or invest in speed/jump gear, since you'll be moving around a lot. Get yourself a fast weapon (Ex: Umbrella), this way you can cast Explosion faster while finishing off the poisoned mobs. 3.) There's two end games for a F/P imo. Numero 1: 1 hit petris with Meteor Shower. That "end-game" goal is easily achieved by most because people want to sell leech and few go further. Numero 2: the one that's the most interesting imo, is trying to increase your Paralyze damage for bossing capabilities. For that one you'd have to use a EWand/Staff 6 for the optimal poison damage bonus and get as high magic as you can. I did some calculations and with maxed out magic, 1999, Paralyze can hit up to ~70k damage, non crit/elemental weakness. If you manage to do that, props to you. To accomplish option 2 tho, you'd either have to really love the class or be a madman. Good luck 1 hitting Obv 4 because that's impossible for a F/P unless we get Elemental Decrease.
Ahh true. But since you were answering to his number 3 question, I'd assume it was F/P. Actually 2/3 mages can't 1 hit Obv4, so that pretty much only applies to I/Ls.
For the equips, I dont know a lot so what speed equips are there? And I have these scrolls but dont know how to use them.
From the top of my mind, bathrobe gives 10 speed, those boots you can buy at hene gives 4 speed or jump, red wip gives 10 speed and is a fast wep and you can scroll your pet equip for either speed or jump.
Drag and drop onto your equipments. Equipments come with slots, for example bathrobe has 10 slots. So you can use 10 times scrolls for overall on it, until the slots are all used up.
