A lot of times, the game doesn't launch at all, but I found a way around that by closing EVERY window and having nothing open. When I get the game to launch, finally, I play it for a bit. Maybe like 5-10 minutes. The game just crashes and closes on its own. I play on Windows 10, and I've changed the properties for the exe to compatibility for Windows 7 and Windows XP Service Pack 3, Run as Administrator. I also tried checking override dpi scaling to see if it'd help, but it doesn't.
What about internet conection? realised it plays a big role on old servers, mine sucks and I usually can't login until few tries (up to 10)
I have a pretty reliable internet connection. I also play other online games that require a lot higher specs than Maplestory XD. The game just tends to crash randomly. I can just be walking from map to map, then it crashes randomly. I was also farming minions, and it crashes out of nowhere. The game doesn't seem to stay open longer than about 5 minutes for me.
I know for sure low versions of maplestory have this issue, i've played other ones with the same issue.
Yeah I don't doubt that unstable internet connection causes older versions of maplestory to crash. I believe my internet is stable though, as I never lag when playing other games, such as Paragon, LoL, etc.
Yup, I usually lag a bit on league sometimes but definately on my old house, where I had 80mbps, I didn't have a bad internet, but was wifi only... idk man I have a lot of issues, like to log in and stuff
