I am concerned that the recent bans for duped item possession are unfair. kovizzz has made the claim that he came in possession of the items because his pet looted them. Regardless of whether or not he is telling the truth (not up to me to judge), his story is highly plausible. My pet has looted all kinds of stuff while I am afk in FM. http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=11618 This is scary for legit players, because they might get permanently banned for something as simple as leaving pet loot on in FM. I also fear the GM's might not have the logs required to prove or disprove claims of pets doing the looting. I am also concerned that new players might not realise that our economy is such that these items are rare. They are vulnerable to just thinking it is normal for somebody to drop 100 of them. What I think should happen is that when players come in possession of duped items, they should have the opportunity to destroy the items. And first offense should not be a permanent ban. Yes, this might mean that some people who knowingly come into possession of the items will not be perma'd, but I'd prefer to see false negatives than false positives, and I'm sure many others would too. The dupers themselves should be permanently banned obviously. I’m not sure how much information admins have on how items were obtained. From what I’ve heard it is limited. Are you able to determine whether a person was the duper, or whether they obtained the items from a duper?
The staff have been discussing and investigating the issue. I can't really say any further than that at the moment, other than to say that we will also be looking into how to fix pets so that they don't loot things dropped by other people.
Was it really necessary for you to post those SS's in this thread? If you are concerned, make an abuse report or PM them to a GM. Can you please remove them so that this thread does not get derailed? I'd prefer this thread stays on topic rather than turning into drama determining where individuals got their items from... Also they are REALLY annoying given how massive they are.
Buddy, I got those from gachapon. It's only 6 scrolls, not 60. I had 200 tickets and my friend had 200 tickets. He gave me the WS he got from his gach run.
The reason why people like this were banned are because they were AFK or seeming to be AFK at the time that stuff was going on. So they were banned so that at least they could not do anything until they wrote an appeal to explain what was going on. We would not have wanted to leave them in game with the scrolls.
