Me and my wife recently started playing in this server, and we're loving it. We made a FP and IL mage, as we both used to sell leech in MS way back when. My question is for melee classes, should I be thinking about HP washing before I even make them? I'm kind of understanding the guide, but it sounds like we should try to make a bit of money selling leech, buy good int equips, THEN make a melee character if we want to HP wash decently. (Shad, Bowman, MM, and Bucc are being thrown around for ideas) Does this sound like the right idea? Also, would I want to plan for washing for warrior classes? I imagine every bit helps, but just want to be sure we should stick to building mages to start, for money purposes. (And HS slave) Thanks!
I don't think you need to wash a shadower. I have almost 4k hp at lvl 117 and with meso guard you half all damage taken. I'm sure it would help, but I don't think it's necessary if you're short on cash. With HB and meso guard and your character at a decent level you should be fine to do all end game bosses. Not sure about the other classes. I heard brawlers don't need to hp wash as well.
I know bowmen and assassins have to wash otherwise HT will kill them. For DKS, with their 4th job skill the lower their HP the more damage they do. So it would make sense to wash them so you can be at low HP but still have at least 9k health.
Making a mage first to get some money before starting an attacker class is a good and smart idea. For Warriors and Shadower you could get away with an average int gear and do just fine , but bear in mind that for BM , you would need a good int gear , perhaps some base int and much more ap resets !
Hey, I was just about to ask this question! Haha! You beat me to it! If Shadowers do not need washing, does the Assassin route need it? And if so, is it a matter of HP washing being wanted/high demand, or is it actually also required to play decently? Cuz I don't really want to go through the work of washing constantly, (I'm only level 30,) and I like having some MP for my skills. So is it in my best interest to reroll, keep playing as is, or keep playing but keep in mind that it's going to get very hard unwashed?
You can not play a Assassin end game without washing. HT deals 9k damage. I think BF touch damage is like 6k. I don't think you need to reroll. Just get some decent INT gear and start washing as you lvl up. With thief washing you always want to use AP from lvling up to wash. 5 points into hp, reset from mp into LUK. And repeat each lvl up. With other classes you want to put 1 ap into hp then reset from mp back into hp. And just keep repeating until you hit min MP. You get more HP this way.
If I might bug you one time, endgame meaning level 200, yes? If say I only got to level 70 or so, would I still be able to game properly? And as a sin starting out do I have to do the HP washing with the AP points I get from leveling up, or could I just stock up on AP reset scrolls and do it when I'm level 70 or something? And is the int gear because washing = not enough AP for dex equips, or for some other reason? I'm very much a noob to even Maple in general, (highest I ever got was level 50 when original Maple offered double level events,) and to be honest, today is the first time I have heard of HP washing.
Basically every 10 INT you have equals 1 MP when you level up. Their is a base MP that you can not drop below. For a shadower at around lvl 80, this is 1000MP, give or take a few. Your goal is to get as much extra MP as you can every time you level. Invest in some INT equips and even zakum helmet will help. The current thanksgiving event helmet will give you an extra 1 mp each time you lvl up. Now, when you level up and get 5 AP points, you can put them into HP and then use a AP reset to take them back out of MP and put them into LUK. This is how you want to do it with thieves. Everytime you take MP out, it will take about 11-12 MP I think on a thief. So you need to have INT gear or a combination of base INT of 100-110. That would allow you to do a HP wash every single level. If you only have 50 INT, you can do one every other level or so. Putting AP from leveling up directly into HP will give you anywhere from 16~24 HP per point. If you simply use a AP reset to keep taking out of MP and adding to HP, like you do with every other class that you wash. You will only get 16 HP per wash. This is why, for thieves only, you always want to use the AP from leveling up and don't just keep recycling the same AP point. Hope that clears things up a bit. To answer your question, yes, you can stock up on AP resets and do them at a higher level. Just remember for thieves you want to only put AP points in from leveling up. You don't have to do it at lvl 30 or 70. I know some people who didn't start washing until 120. When I say endgame, I mean lvl 120+. Basically end game bossing, killing zakum, horntail, etc. You need a lot of HP to do this. Zak I think you only need 3.2k if you have HB, HT you need 9.1k if you have HB. If you don't want to HP wash, I would suggest playing a mage, or a shadower (bandit) or a brawler. These classes do not need to HP wash. You could get away with not washing heros as well.
